Season 8[]

Episode 1[]

Main article: Episode 801 - 16 Chefs Compete

After James introduced himself, all the chefs put blindfolds on, and were taken to the prize restaurant, the LA Market, in Los Angeles. Then, they returned to Hell's Kitchen, and were asked to cook their signature dishes.

During the Signature Dish Challenge, Trev thought Russell was not trying his best when his dish was undercooked. As he thought you're supposed to bring your A-game. He was the fifth person from the blue team to have his dish judged by Ramsay, and went up against Gail. It was unknown what he made, but Ramsay called it an embarrassment. Neither him nor Gail scored, but despite that, the blue team won the challenge after a tiebreaker at 3. They were rewarded with massages, champagne, and caviar, up in the dorms.

During dinner service, Trev was on the appetizer station. His first salad was overdressed, much to Ramsay's frustration, along with his second attempt, causing Ramsay to scream at him, and to smash the plate to the ground. While he did manage to send a proper salad, it took him an hour and a half. Both teams were named joint-losers, and they were asked to nominate two people each.

Trev was the blue team's second nominee for elimination, with Raj being the first, and they joined Lisa and Sabrina from the red team. He survived elimination after Ramsay sent him back in line.[1]

During the Sushi Challenge, Trev was paired with Curtis. They had a difficult time making their sushi, but fortunately, they sat out as the blue team had an extra pair.

The blue team won the challenge 16-15, and they were rewarded with a trip to Cellar 360 in San Francisco with Ramsay, where they tasted wine, and ate dinner at the Water Bar restaurant. He also got to keep his Morimoto knife that was used in the challenge. During the dinner, he thanked the team for winning despite his poor performance.

During dinner service, Trev was on the fish station. At one point, Boris butted into his station in an attempt to help, but sent raw scallops. The blue team eventually lost the service after being kicked out of the kitchen, and they were asked to nominate two people.

He was not nominated for elimination.[2]

Episode 3[]

Main article: Episode 803 - 13 Chefs Compete

Back in the dorms, Trev asked Raj to calm down after the latter was celebrating. Later, he decided to befriend him as he was the only person Raj could listen to.

During the Paramedic Service Challenge, Trev was not seen much, except for when Raj argued with Ramsay, he told him to just say “Yes, Chef.” The blue team lost the challenge. After Ramsay berated the blue team for their disorganized performance, he knew that their problem was a lack of communication. When Raj said that he tried to speak, he shut the latter up, and reminded that they were performing as individuals, which Ramsay agreed. He even voiced his frustration that Raj was not contributing worthwhile to the blue team, and it was hurting them a lot.

The blue team was punished by polishing 250 stemware glasses for the next service, and cleaning both kitchens. During the punishment, Trev tried to urge Raj to help with the polishing, but Raj felt that he was just being mean. Then, he saw that Raj left watermarks on one of his glasses, and an annoyed Russell told him to finish it for Raj. When they were cleaning the red kitchen, he saw that Raj partially covered a loaf of bread with ceramic wrap, and started to get fed up. Later, he yelled that Raj was screwing up the team, and that they were trying to get that through to his thick skull, before telling him to go home and stuff his face with Twinkies until he had a heart attack. That caused Raj to get enraged, and yelled at him to shut up inches from his face. Russell and Boris eventually calmed the situation down.

During dinner service, Trev was assigned at the mixologist station. When the blue team was not getting appetizers out, he was pressured by James to get his cocktails ready. Despite being annoyed by James' pressure, he managed to serve his cocktails to the diners. The blue team won the service as they received a 54% approval rating from their customers, compared to the red team's 50%.

At elimination, Trev, and the rest of the blue team, expressed relief when Raj was eliminated, and thanked Ramsay.[3]

Episode 4[]

Main article: Episode 804 - 12 Chefs Compete

Back in the dorms, the blue team celebrated Raj's elimination, and toasted to a new beginning.

Before the Ravioli Challenge, Ramsay asked if the chefs could refrain from smoking for the next 48 hours, but Trev felt that it was neither the time or place to quit smoking. During the challenge, he helped his teammates on their dishes, but was not happy when they did not taste his own dish, and ranked him last automatically. He was the last person from the blue team to have his dish judged, and went up against Gail. His duck and arugula ravioli with mozzarella was deemed a bold move, Ramsay liked it, and he won the round over Gail.

The blue team won the challenge 4-3, and they were rewarded with a helicopter trip to Palace Verde’s, at an Oceanside resort, where they played golf and ate dinner. During the dinner, Trev was still upset about his teammates not tasting his dish, and Russell asked if he would have won against Melissa in the first round. While he thought so, he argued that he just wanted to be part of the team, but Rob told him to stop stinking the moment, but the argument continued. After calming down, Vinny apologized to him about their honest mistake. When they got back to Hell's Kitchen, Vinny asked him if he would stop acting like a whiny bitch, and he decided to befriend the women. Then, he vented his problems to Gail, said that he would rather be on the red team, and jokingly asked her if she wanted to make out, which she refused.

Before service began, Trev told Ramsay that he was still smoking. During the Italian Night dinner service, he was on the garnish station. He was not seen much, except at one point when he thought that Rob being sent out to eat his burnt pizza was not a punishment. Near the end, the red team came in the blue kitchen to help the men on their remaining tickets, but when both teams got confused on the ticket orders, Ramsay kicked them out. Then, he disappointingly thought that the red team's presence would help, but it became the opposite. Both teams were named joint-losers, and they were asked to nominate two people each.

He was not nominated for elimination.[4]

Episode 5[]

Main article: Episode 805 - 11 Chefs Compete

During the Prom Planning Challenge, Trev had to stop an argument between Russell and Boris. He presented the blue team's second entrée, which was a pan-seared ribeye with roasted red potatoes. While it was well received by the committees, he lost the round to the red team, and the blue team lost the challenge 0-3. They were punished by decorating the dining room for the next service, under the prom committees’ supervision. During the punishment, he was the only one that was not rude to the prom committees, and even suggested that they tell their instructions through him.

During the Prom Night dinner service, Trev was on the garnish station. He was not seen much, and the blue team won the service.[5]

Episode 6[]

Main article: Episode 806 - 10 Chefs Compete

Back in the dorms, Trev said that he liked being with the guys as they had a lot in common with each other. Before the next challenge, Ramsay transferred him to the red team, exchanging with Melissa, which he was not happy about as he thought the blue team was getting along fine, and that the transfer would force him to rethink his strategy. As he was putting his red jacket, Ramsay urged him to step up as a leader, which he promised to do.

During the Salad Challenge, Trev got annoyed with Jillian's constant questions, calling her clueless and giving her the nickname "Jilly bean". He was the last person from the red team to compete, and went up against Melissa. His apple, pear, and pork salad with a strawberry vinaigrette was praised for having an assertive but working dressing, and he won the round over Melissa.

The red team lost the challenge after a tiebreaker at 2, and they were punished by prepping both kitchens for the next service, and eating a flower salad. Trev was not only pissed that his dish was not featured in Bon Appétit magazine, but also on being in a new team that lost the challenge. Despite Gail trying to reassure him that they tried, he bitterly said that he would have been in Malibu if he was still on the blue team. During the punishment, he got annoyed when the women were struggling with cleaning the red kitchen, and stated that he forgot what it felt like to work with chicks. Deciding to try and get them into shape, he gave some advice to Sabrina on prepping the appetizer station, but Sabrina called him a douchebag, and told him to leave her alone.

During prep, Trev vented his problems to his old teammates. Before service, Ramsay reminded him that his goal was to prove to the red team that he deserved to be there. After Rob said that the blue team was stronger without him, he got fired up, and wanted to beat them even more.

During dinner service, Trev was on the meat station. After Nona struggled on cooking the scallops for the scallop salad, he was asked to cook them. Fortunately, his attempt was perfect, and they were able to send the scallop salad to the chefs table. When he asked Sabrina for the gnocchi, he got confused when she said that he was suppose to cook them when it was the garnish station's responsibility. Later, he became vocal, and asked Sabrina for the garnishes. While Sabrina did not say anything at first, she angrily said that she need a minute and thirty seconds on the chicken garnish when he kept asking her. When he sent perfectly cooked Wellingtons, he asked Sabrina for the garnish, only to get yelled at again. Both teams were named joint-losers, and they were asked to nominate one person each.

He was not nominated for elimination.[6]

Episode 7[]

Main article: Episode 807 - 9 Chefs Compete Part 1

During the Roulette Challenge, Trev landed on R, and chose rutabaga. During the challenge, he cooked his rutabaga chips for tasting, and while his teammates said that they tasted burnt and bitter, he ignored them. Despite Ramsay saying that they were burnt, the red team won the challenge, and they were rewarded with a trip to The Rio, in Las Vegas, for an overnight visit, and a meeting with Penn and Teller.

During the Family Night dinner service, Trev was on the dessert station. When Sabrina asked him to check her meat, he annoyingly did, and told her to put them in the oven a little longer. Later, he pushed Nona to send her garnishes, and even counted down from 15. Then, he saw that Sabrina was making grilled cheese for the next ticket even though they were not ready for it, and it led to an argument. Both teams were named joint-winners as they received a 90% approval rating, but they were still asked to nominate two people each.

Trev was not nominated for elimination, despite being considered by Sabrina over a raw chicken incident.[7]

Episode 8[]

Main article: Episode 808 - 9 Chefs Compete Part 2

During the Budget Challenge, Trev went up against Russell on the chicken round, and made a lemon roasted chicken breast. While it was praised for having a crispy skin, it had undercooked carrots, and he scored an average of $22, which was the lowest overall score. Despite that, the red team won the challenge $110-$101, and they were rewarded with a sailboat trip, eating a waterfront dinner at the Maya hotel, and receiving salsa lessons. During the dinner, he told the women that they have proven that he was on the right team, and apologized for not trusting them before. However, that comment did not sit well with Jillian.

During prep, Trev gave his teammates cold shoulder due to the comments from the reward, causing Jillian to ask if he was on his period. During the 100th Hell's Kitchen dinner service, he was on the garnish station. Despite being confident, he fell apart when he did not have his garnishes ready. When he sent his gnocchi, it was raw, and an angry Ramsay ordered him to wake up. He would continue to struggle when Sabrina told him that he could not serve his burnt carrots, but he talked back before asking for help. However, Ramsay noticed that Nona and Sabrina were helping him and annoyingly ordered Gail and Jillian to come and help as well, though his squash was burning despite that. When he continued to struggle, a fed up Ramsay kicked him out, though near the end, James convinced him to go back and finish. Despite his problems, the red team won the service, though Ramsay was still disappointed in his poor performance. Back in the dorms, he was disappointed by his poor performance, and while Jillian and Sabrina told him that he should have asked for help, he responded that he got yelled at by them, and called Sabrina a bitch. That led to an argument between the two of them, until Nona calmed the situation down.

At elimination, after Boris left, Ramsay called him down, but the episode ended as a cliffhanger.[8]

Episode 9[]

Main article: Episode 809 - 8 Chefs Compete

Continuing from the previous episode, Ramsay reminded Trev that while the women had a solid service, he fell apart. Then, Ramsay ordered him to take off his jacket, and he was transferred back to the blue team, with a stern warning that he was on his last chance. Back in the dorms, he felt that the red team did not have his back at all, and was glad to be back to his original team, while stating that he hoped the women would crash and burn.

During the Blind Taste Test, Trev was the last person from the blue team to compete, and went up against Nona. He only guessed squash correctly, and the blue team lost the challenge 5-6. They were punished by sorting through trash from different restaurants for recycling, eating cheese sandwiches for lunch, and prepping both kitchens for the next service. During the punishment, when the red team went for their reward, he jokingly asked if they wanted a hug, and caused them to run away.

During prep, Trev realized that things on the blue team have changed when he was gone, and knew that if he would not shine, he would be eliminated, while stating that they had to work together. During dinner service, he was on the appetizer station. He got the blue team off to a strong start with perfect risottos, and when he noticed Rob struggling on scallops, he asked if he was a fucking idiot as this was their ninth service. After Vinny got kicked out, he was relocated to the garnish station. After Russell and Rob got kicked out, he was the last man standing in the blue kitchen. Despite that, he decided to fight through the fear, and produced an acceptable salmon. The blue team lost the service, but he was named "Best of the Worst" for being the last man standing, and was asked to nominate two of his teammates for elimination.

Trev named Rob as his first nominee, and Russell as his second. After elimination, Russell accused him of throwing him under the bus, but he responded that he did not.[9]

Episode 10[]

Main article: Episode 810 - 7 Chefs Compete

While going back to the dorms, Trev tried to explain to Russell that it was a hard decision, but Russell refused to listen to him, and said that things just got dirty. However, he felt that Russell was throwing a temper tantrum, and said that there might be a changing of the guard for leadership.

During the Relay Challenge, Trev competed on the second round, and despite getting the sauces ready along with the garnishes, he forgot to get the lobster cooked, which would happened again during the fifth round. Despite that, the blue team won the challenge 2-1, and they were rewarded with a shopping spree at Sur La Table for cooking supplies, and eating lunch at Melisse with Ramsay.

For the next service, both teams were asked to create their own menu. While Trev inputted a few suggestions, he and Vinny rejected some of Russell's. While everybody else was sleeping, he and Vinny decided to go in the hot tub, drink, and smoke while complaining about how Russell was an angry man, and that it would cost him in the end. When Russell made his presence known and berated them, he did not care, and said that seeing Russell get angry made him happy.

During prep, Trev was sluggish due to being hungover. During dinner service, he was on the garnish station. He was not seen much, both teams were named joint-losers, and everybody was asked to nominate who they personally thought were not deserving a black jacket.

Trev nominated Sabrina while receiving votes from the entire red team. While that shocked Ramsay, he bitterly said that he was not a ladies man. After, Ramsay called him down and, after stating that he came a lot further than expected, gave him the first black jacket, much to the red team’s dismay, while adding that while he was not liked, he earned it.[10]

Episode 11[]

Main article: Episode 811 - 6 Chefs Compete

Before heading to the dorms, Ramsay jokingly told Trev sweet dreams, while he said that he would be sleeping with one eye open, knowing that while the women wanted him gone, he got the first black jacket, and declared that he was not going anywhere. Later, while the rest of the chefs went to sleep, he was still up realizing that it was him against the four women, and that meant he would have to outperform them.

During the Presentation Challenge, Trev decided to go outside the box, and use frog legs. He was the last person to present his dish, which was hard-boiled frog legs. The presentation did not receive favorable reviews as Michael Chimarusti said he had no idea what the dish was until he described it, and he received only 31 points for the presentation. Then, the dish was criticized for its small taste, and he received only 31 points for the taste, giving him a total of 62 points. He lost the challenge to Russell, and was punished by cleaning the dorms, and prepping for the next service.

During prep, Trev rudely told Sabrina to figure out her pasta situation herself, before refusing to help the three woman as he had enough of covering people’s asses while he did not get the same treatment. During dinner service, he was on the appetizer station with Sabrina. Despite being confident in his abilities, his lobster spaghetti was rejected for having overcooked pasta, and when Sabrina asked for a time on his spaghetti, he yelled that he needed four more minutes, but Sous Chef Scott came by, and sternly ordered him to contain his anger and get his shit together. Despite sending the first ticket, he did not communicate with Sabrina on the next ticket, and his frustrations annoyed Gail. Then, Ramsay pulled him and Sabrina aside, and warned them to wake up and stop arguing. Their dysfunctional teamwork caused a backlog on orders as the diners impatiently waited for their appetizers. Later, he helped Sabrina on her next attempt at the truffle salad.

Trev was the first nominee for elimination, with Sabrina being the second. During his plea, he reminded Ramsay that he did not give up at all. He survived elimination.[11]

Episode 12[]

Main article: Episode 812 - 5 Chefs Compete

Back in the dorms, Trev told Gail that the two of them were in Ramsay’s sight, and that there was no more room for errors.

When Trev discovered that the next challenge was the 80 Portions Food Truck Challenge, he got concerned as it meant he would be cooking in a small box. He made a penne pasta with grilled Italian sausage and tomato sauce, and while serving it, he flirted with his female customers. He lost the challenge to Gail, and he was punished by cleaning the front entrance of Hell’s Kitchen ahead of the next service, and cleaning the food trucks used during the challenge. Back in the dorms, he ranted about losing the challenge over a salad and exploded that he was not being appreciated, and claimed that he would have won the challenge if he was in Chicago. However, the fact that Russell was in dead last was a comforting thought for him. During the punishment, he ignored Nona's request for more water on her truck, much to the other's annoyance. Later, he was caught starring at Gail's new look.

During dinner service, Trev was on the meat station. When they started on entrées, Ramsay reminded him to drive the team. Despite asking for times from Gail, he did not get any answers from her. Then, he sent a cold ribeye, which Ramsay considered the final straw as he and Sous Chef Scott left the kitchen. Then, his overcooked beef was rejected by Russell, and later, he was caught flash grilling his meat by Nona, resulting in his beef looking gray. After Ramsay came back, he was relocated to the appetizer station. He, along with Nona and Russell, were the only three chefs left who completed service. After service, Ramsay reminded him about his cold ribeye, and how it drove him out of his own restaurant.

Trev was the second nominee for elimination, with Gail being the first. When Nona reminded the flash grilling incident, a shocked Ramsay asked if that was true, but he answered it was not. He survived elimination.[12]

Episode 13[]

Main article: Episode 813 - 4 Chefs Compete

Back in the dorms, Trev admitted that he thought he would not get another reprieve. During the Taste It Now Make It Challenge, he decided to cook both veal and pork in order to keep his options safe. In the end, he used pork, carrot, celery root, cabbage, bacon, chicken stock and port wine to recreate Ramsay's dish. While he was the only one that used carrot for the purée, he failed to plate it. Then, he got the chicken stock and port wine for the sauce correct, but lost the challenge to Nona. He was punished by prepping the kitchen for the next service, and ironing both the tablecloths and Ramsay’s chef jacket. During the punishment, he and Jillian agreed to nominate Nona and Russell, even if they would do well during service as they wanted the underdogs to win.

During dinner service, Trev was on the meat station. He noticed Russell struggling on scallops, and said that Russell was not as he boasted he was. He got overwhelmed as a lot of the earlier entrées ordered were meat, and Ramsay urged him to stay in control. Then, he nervously struggled to carve his first Wellington, forcing Ramsay to come over and show him how to properly slice it. After he dropped a piece of steak improperly, Ramsay told him to leave for 30 seconds to calm down, though he felt embarrassed. When he came back, Ramsay gave him a pep talk as entrées were leaving the kitchen. Despite feeling confident, he sent one Wellington when there was three on the ticket, and Ramsay asked him if he wanted to go home, before sending him outside again. After he came back to the kitchen, Ramsay lectured him to concentrate and slow down. On their last few tickets, he and Russell had a communication meltdown as Russell did not have a salmon fired. When Ramsay told them that they were not ready for the next ticket yet, it led to a small spat between he and Russell, until Jillian told them to stop. As they were working on desserts, Russell asked him who he would send home, and while he claimed that he had no idea, he secretly knew that he and Jillian were going to nominate Russell.

When the chefs were lined up, they were asked to nominate two people for elimination. While Trev went with the plan and nominated Nona and Russell, he got upset when Jillian nominated him. Then, when Russell threatened to slap the shit out of him, he calmly brushed it aside.

Trev was the first nominee for elimination, with Russell being the second. During his plea, Ramsay reminded him that he panicked and rush, but he said that he stepped up to Ramsay’s caliber as service continued. He survived elimination as Ramsay sent him back in line, and moments later, he reunited with his sister and best friend.[13]

Episode 14[]

Main article: Episode 814 - 4 Chefs Compete Again

Back in the dorms, Trev said that seeing his sister reminded him of why he came to Hell's Kitchen. Before the Fusion Cuisine Challenge, Ramsay revealed that two people would be eliminated after service, but he did not care as long as he was in the finals. He was left with China and Mexico for his countries, and got envious when Nona got Greece and Italy as those two countries mirrored each other perfectly. While cooking his dish, he added too much spice to his pan, and it caught fire. After he put the fire out, Ramsay gave him a fire extinguisher and told him to watch his hair, making everybody laugh. He was the first person to compete, and presented his Carne Asada with habanero. The dish was criticized for tasting bland and being off balanced, and he lost the challenge to Jillian. He was punished by packing all the unneeded furniture in the dorms and prepping both kitchens for the next service. During the punishment, he complained about how much he hated moving.

During prep, Trev got annoyed when Russell micromanaged his prep work, and wanted him to leave him alone, and later, annoyingly announced that he wanted everybody to go home. During dinner service, he was on the fish station. His scallops were rejected by Russell for being raw, but he felt that Russell threw him under the bus. Then, he rudely rejected Jillian's help, and caused a slowdown on dishes leaving the kitchen, but managed to get his refire accepted. He was the third person to run the pass, but nobody acknowledged his first order as nobody respected him. Then, when he called an entrée order, Ramsay reminded him that they did not serve the appetizers yet as Jillian said that he sucked. After, Sous Chef Scott brought a sea bass instead of a halibut, but he was able to spot the mistake. That led to a confidence boost as he got more vocal, and food was going out of the kitchen. Later, he had an argument with Jillian over his inconsistent fish portions and raw halibut. As he was talking back to Jillian, Ramsay warned him that if he would not get his shit together, he would be kicked out. Back in the dorms, he reminded Jillian that all she did was nothing but yell at him when she was at the pass, even though Russell reminded him of his struggles. But, he felt that he handled the pass fine, and believed Nona had the worst performance at the pass.

When the final four went downstairs, Ramsay eliminated Trev as he believed he was not ready to be his next head chef at LA Market. Before leaving, Ramsay praised him for his determination, and for fighting against all odds. He received a retrospective montage of his run during his exit interview. Ramsay gave no comment on his elimination, and he did not receive the coat hanging and burning picture sequence.[14]

Episode 15[]

When he returned for the final service, Trev was Nona's third pick, after Gail and Melissa, and before Boris. He said that he was ready to knock Russell onto the floor.

During dinner service, Trev was on the appetizer station. When he sent his first beet salad, Nona rejected it for being overdressed, but he managed to get his redo accepted. When Boris was struggling on the halibut, he warned him that if he would make one more mistake, he would come and help him. After Boris' third attempt was rejected, he came to the latter's help knowing that they were doomed if he would not. However, Boris did not appreciate, which led to an argument, but Nona calmed the situation down by telling them to shut the fuck up. Nona eventually won the finals over Russell.[15]

Trev returned in Season 9 to compete against the current final five black jackets, along with other returning chefs such as Ben (Season 5), Tennile, Van (both from Season 6), and Jillian (also from Season 8). After the introductions, he felt that it would be a good opportunity to uphold the previous chef’s reputations.

During dinner service, Trev was on the appetizer station with Jillian. At one point, Ramsay urged him to take control, and while he felt that he was more confident, less frantic, and being heard, his actions proved otherwise before sending up a fraiche salad not on order, much to Ramsay and Jillian’s irritation. The veterans lost the service as they had an 83% approval rating compared to the black jackets 96%.[16]

Season 18[]

Main article: Episode 1802 - A Fond Farewell

Trev, along with the other veterans, were in disguise when they arrived to Hell's Kitchen, unknown to the rookies. His alias was "Aaron". When they arrived to Hell's Kitchen, they were welcomed by Marino and the Sous Chefs, and were given butternut squash risotto for lunch. During lunch, he knew that the veterans knew the expectations of the competition, while the rookies did not as Chris complimented his mustache. He was the fifth veteran to reveal himself.

During the Signature Dish Challenge, Trev went up against Scotley, and during the cooking, he and Bret complained how they were looking forward to making their original signature dishes. During Kevin's turn, he commented how scared he was of the former as he knew how cutthroat Kevin was, before warning the others to fear him as well. He was the sixth person from the blue team to have his dish judged by Ramsay, and before tasting his dish, the latter recalled how he was picked on a lot during Season 8, and he remembered that he got yelled at by everybody but Ramsay, before hoping that he received the respect from his teammates that season. He made a curry dusted snapper, and while it was praised for the fish being delicious, Ramsay commented that the lemon twist reminded him of his grandfather’s 90th birthday party, and he scored three points, though he argued that his dish was slightly better than a 3.

The veterans lost the challenge after a tie at 29, and they were punished by prepping both kitchens for the following service, shelling sunflower seeds, and prepping the mushroom duxelles. During the punishment, Trev got annoyed by Jen's attitude, and told her to get the fuck out of the competition if she could not hang with them. Later, he said that he wanted to turn the tide and make it about the All-Stars and not the rookies.[17]

During the Creative Risotto Challenge, Trev was confident about his dish and wanted his risotto featured on the menu. When the Sous Chefs were judging, he presented his lemon and leek risotto and arrogantly said that he would not change one thing about his dish. Despite hoping for his name to be called up, he lost the challenge as he was not called up as the top four for the veterans, which bummed him out.

During prep, Trev did not write anything down as he was a trial and error guy and wanted to let his food do the talking. Later, Sous Chef Jocky caught him improperly prepping the Wellingtons as he marked them before wiping on the egg wash, and berated him for not paying attention earlier. However, he arrogantly argued that he did not bust his ass for seven years just to get yelled at for an improperly prepped Wellington.

During dinner service, Trev was on the fish station with Jen. At one point, while he knew that Ramsay was not looking for arrogance, but for a leader, he ignored Jen’s warning about his scallops being lightly colored. Indeed, his scallops were sent out in the pan without being drained, and they were raw as well, before Ramsay ordered him to get a grip. Despite being frustrated, he got his refire accepted, and the veterans eventually won the service.[18]

Episode 3[]

Main article: Episode 1803 - Hell's Riders

Back at the dorms, Ariel told Trev and Jen that there was no leadership on fish that night, but while he argued that he was on it that night, T felt differently and wanted to address the fact that he and Jen could not cook as she did not want a clusterfuck of a nightmare. Later that night, he and Jen believed that they were being underestimated by their team, with the latter telling him that he should have stood up for himself earlier that night, but he said that he was trying to play from his heart for now.

Before the Marines Service Challenge, Trev said that his brother was in the marines. He was on the fish station with Roe, and was not seen much, except for accusing Ariel of sending up a raw steak intentionally when they were close to the finish. The veterans lost the challenge, and they were punished by prepping squid for a calamari dish in that night’s service. After Bret used his punishment pass, he accused the former of taking the first chance of leaving the veterans behind on their punishment.

During dinner service, Trev was on the appetizer station with Kevin. He was slow plating the salmon appetizer, and at one point, Ramsay caught him drinking water instead of continuing to plate the salmon appetizer, got lectured that the customers were more important than staying hydrated, but he felt that he was the whipping boy for the veterans. Despite that, he and Kevin got their appetizers accepted. Both teams were named joint-winners, and while being dismissed, he knew that Jen eliminated herself for the veterans, and did not want to be associated with her ever again.[19]

Episode 4[]

Main article: Episode 1804 - Hell Freezes Over

Back at the dorms, Trev and Mia agreed that they came to cook in front of Ramsay, and believed that he and the latter might make it to the black jackets, while the men at the hot tub would be eliminated soon.

Before the Winter Soup Challenge, Trev was paired up with Heather, they were the first pair from the veterans to sled down, and the team won a ten-second head start. He was the first person from the veterans to have his dish judged, and presented his carrot and coconut soup with Cajun curry shrimp. The dish was praised for being flavorable and having a beautiful texture but criticized for having no herb taste as the coconut flavor overpowered the overall taste. So, he scored six points and said that it was rough being the first one up as the judges never gave the first dish a perfect score.

The veterans lost the challenge 41-51, and they were punished by cleaning all 30 tons of the snow off the front entrance. Back at the dorms, Trev told Bret to suck it up after the latter felt bad about costing them the challenge. During the punishment, he complained that they were lifting about 30 car pounds of snow into wheelbarrows.

During prep, Trev was working on the poached eggs, but Sous Chef Jocky told him to scrap the test batch as they were too hard to the touch, and could be overcooked later on. While he believed that poaching an egg was not that difficult, he went through multiple eggs for multiple batches, and when Roe offered to help him out, he snarkily commented that he should have the entire team helping him out, and was getting tired of getting picked on by Sous Chef Jocky. Despite that, Sous Chef Jocky approved of his poached egg batch, but he told the latter to fuck off in the confessionals.

During dinner service, Trev was on the meat station with Kevin. At one point, he and Kevin argued about seasoning their meat, and Ramsay rejected the steaks for being cold. After, he accused Kevin of trying to be the hero and do the work himself instead of asking himself for help. When their lamb came out overcooked, Ramsay asked the meat station who was responsible for that, he claimed that both he and Kevin were responsible for that, much to the latter’s annoyance as that was not true. Both teams were name joint-losers, and they were asked to nominate two each. During deliberation, he and Kevin were named the nominees, and he hoped that somebody from the rookies did an even worse performance than he and Kevin did.

Trev was named the veterans' second nominee for elimination, with Kevin as the first, and they were joined by Chris and Gizzy from the rookies. During his plea, Ramsay asked him what he actually did that night, which he struggled to answer. He survived elimination as Ramsay reassigned him to the red team with Kevin, they were soon joined by Bret, and they switched with Gizzy, Kanae, and Mia as Ramsay decided to end the Rookies Vs. Veterans team format and bring back the battle of the sexes. While being dismissed, he felt that the change was good for him as it was back to basics.[20]

Back at the dorms, Trev agreed with Chris that they should be more direct with discussions.

Before the Seven-Way Cooking Challenge, Trev was impressed with Stephan Moccio's versatility and deemed him a major player. While he was not happy to initially receive sardines, which he called the seas dirty little cousin, he was shocked when the halibut dropped from the ceiling. During the cooking, he mocked Scotley when the latter asked for food coloring, even mockingly offering that he could try and find finger painting in the back. He received wood-burning oven as his cooking method, was the final person from the red team to have his dish judged, and went up against T, although he said that he did not want anything to do with the latter, and felt confident that his dish was the better of the two. He made an SMP halibut, he said that he liked to babysit his food while cooking, it was praised for the combination of tomato and arugula, and while he felt that he had the best dish, he lost that round to T.

The red team lost the challenge 3-5, and they were punished by participating in composting day, which involved mixing all the waste that was accumulated in the 18 seasons of the show and mixing it with manure that would be arriving soon. During the punishment, Trev said that their situation stunk, and complained that they were going to smell like B.O. and shit that day. Later, he and Kevin talked about a ski resort the latter owned with his company, leading him to ask why Kevin would come back again if he was already successful.

During dinner service, Trev was on the meat station with Bret. After Chris sent up raw scallops, he said that the latter should know better than that. When Scotley was not communicating with Bret, he got annoyed as the former was supposed to be driving the train. When the red team was sent into the pantry room, he refused to believe that it was over for the red team. The red team lost the service, and they were asked to nominate two people for elimination. During deliberation, he considered Kevin and Scotley for elimination.

Trev was not nominated for elimination, and when being dismissed, he felt that he had to fill in Kevin’s shoes now.[21]

Episode 6[]

Main article: Episode 1806 - Hot Potato

Back at the dorms, Trev said that with six men left, they had to beat the women, and believe that the latter’s big personalities would cause arguments in the near future. The next day, he complained that he has been trapped in the dorms for two weeks as he was the only chef to have yet to win a challenge.

During the Potato Challenge, Trev was the second person from the red team to have his dish judged, and went up against Heather. He made a potato fritter with shrimp, and it scored 6 points. The red team won the challenge after a tie at 40 each, he was excited as he had yet to go on a reward until now, and they were rewarded with a trip to Animal Tracks to meet some animals, and ate lunch at Daniel Humm’s Nomad Food truck. During the reward, he said that it was nice to be outside as he was cooped up in the restaurant for too long, and decided to enjoy the time he had.

Before service began, Trev learned about Chris' withdrawal from the competition, and admitted how hard the latter’s departure hit him. During the Steak Night dinner service, he was on the meat station with Bret. At one point, he asked Motto what the next table was, but the latter struggled to remember as he was too focused on his garnish. Later, Scotley tried to blamed him for improperly scoring the former's branzinos, he was pissed by that comment, and reminded Scotley that they were supposed to be a team by not blaming each other for their own mistakes. Despite that, his and Scotley’s entrées were accepted, and sent to the chef's table. Near the end of service, Ramsay told him that his cooking on the steaks have been on point all night, which made the latter feel good about that. The red team won the service, and he was happy that the men killed it that night.[22]

Episode 7[]

Main article: Episode 1807 - Last Chef Standing

Back at the dorms, Scotley praised Trev’s strong performance on meat that night, and while he said that it felt nice to show the newcomers how to handle a station, the former told him to shut the fuck up as he was talking too much. When the men teased him, he knew that he had to deal with that in both his personal life and during Season 8, but knew that they were teasing him because they were afraid of him.

During the Last Chef Standing Challenge, Trev decided to cook the cioppino, and felt that it was one of the easiest dishes of the five to cook. When the chefs began leaving the kitchens, he was pleased as that meant he would get to shine more. He was the fourth and final person from the red team to leave their kitchen, and soon after, he tried to communicate with Motto on what to do. He was the final person from the red team to have his dish judged by Ramsay, and went up against Mia. He made a cioppino, and while it was praised for being cooked beautifully, Ramsay revealed that he forgot to plate the fish protein on the plate, and he lamented that it was not the first time that he made that mistake, recalling how he forgot to plate his purée during the Taste It Now Make It Challenge on Season 8.

The red team lost the challenge 3-4, and they were punished by participating in delivery day, and shucking corn and peas. Before dismissing them, Ramsay asked Trev to plate the fish for the cioppino dish, and it only took one second to do so. During the punishment, he noticed that he was starting to break out in an allergic reaction, and Sous Chef Christina told him to see the medic. However, Scotley was unsympathetic to his plight, accused him of trying to excuse himself from costing the men the challenge, and was called a baby girl. However, he annoyingly told Scotley to shut the fuck up, got some gel from the medic, and jokingly believed that he was allergic to the multiple punishments. When he came back, Scotley continued to call him baby girl, but he told the latter to grow up as it was not high school.

Because Trev was the fourth and final person from the red team to leave their kitchen in the previous challenge, he was exempted from participating in the Cook For Your Life Challenge, and he was happy that he was safe for trusting his own gut. Back at the dorms, he expressed confidence that Jose would be safe, before saying that either Bret or Scotley would be going home, even though he wanted the latter gone more for being both arrogant and a bully.[23]

Episode 8[]

Main article: Episode 1808 - One Hell of a Party

Back at the dorms, Trev was disappointed that Scotley was not eliminated during the Cook For Your Life Challenge, was tired of the latter’s alpha male attitude, and said that it was a cooking competition, not a competition for the person with the largest huevos. However, Bret accused him of not wanting Scotley due to the latter’s skills, but he argued that he did not want Scotley due to his attitude. Later, he got amused by Bret's lecture to Mia.

During the Tilly Sweet 16 Planning Challenge, Trev admitted that he was not looking forward to cooking for millennials, and wondered if he was getting old. He was teamed up with Bret and Jose on the entrée round, and they went up against Ariel, Heather, and Mia from the blue team. He made broccoli and bok choy masala, and while was praised for the coconut flavor and not being overly spicy, it was not added onto the menu, making him comment that trying to impress a 16-year-old girl never worked for him. The red team lost the challenge 2-4, and they were punished by baking four-layered personal cakes for Tilly’s guest and setting up a mobile photo booth which included origami styled flowers. After hearing that, he complained that he has only left the restaurant once before, and believed that he was going to turn out like Quasimodo.

During the Tilly Sweet 16 dinner service, Trev was on the garnish station. At one point, Scotley asked him how much garlic he was putting into the spinach, but he ignored him as he felt that Scotley was talking at him and not to him. However, Scotley’s warning came true as his spinach was rejected for having too much garlic, and he felt that he disappointed Ramsay. He was not called into the blue kitchen as he was working on desserts, and the red team won the service.[24]

Episode 9[]

Main article: Episode 1809 - What Happens in Vegas

While going back to the dorms, Trev claimed that he could see the cracks form within the blue team. Before the challenge the next day, he sarcastically did a mock “Good Day HK” news montage of the weather in the dorms.

During the Chinese Cuisine Challenge, Trev went up against Mia from the blue team, and he picked pork tenderloin as their protein. During the cooking, he and Scotley got into another argument due to his attempt at leadership and was called a motor mouth by the latter. He was the first person from the red team to have his dish judged, and presented his spiced rubbed pork tenderloin. While it was praised for the spices, Shirley Chung felt it did not come off as an authentic Chinese dish, with the pork being dry as well. He lost that round to Mia, and he admitted to being worried about the latter.

The red team lost the challenge 2-3, and Trev complained that while the women were getting all the rewards, the only one he got was the safari reward. They were punished by baking fortune cookies, and stuffing the fortunes inside them. During the punishment, he got pissed when Scotley did not help out on cutting the fortunes, saying that half-assing the punishment would not fly. When Scotley wanted to boil some eggs for a snack, he got annoyed as those eggs were supposed to be for the cookies and accused the former of caring only for himself. However, that led to an argument between the two as he feared that the negative energy would affect them come dinner service.

The next day, Trev talked to Heather about how Scotley was a complete douchebag during the punishment. During prep, he tried to get a bit of organization going in the red kitchen, but that led into another argument between him and Scotley until Bret had to break it up. During dinner service, he was on the fish station with Jose. At one point, Jose kept micromanaging his work, much to his annoyance, but they were rejected for being raw. When Jose's attempt was rejected, he had enough, cooked the third attempt by himself, and it was finally accepted. However, his sent up burnt salmon, leading Jose to take over again. But, when Jose's attempt broke on him, Ramsay demanded from him who was running fish, warning him not to say “we” like last time, and he said that Jose was running fish. When the blue team came to help the men out, he snapped at Kanae to help Jose out on fish.

The red team lost the service, and they were asked to nominate two people for elimination. During deliberation, Trev was considered for elimination by Bret and Motto, and when Scotley and Jose remembered the first two salmons that were sent up burnt, he took responsibility for them, but argued that Jose took more control of fish that night, and failed. But, Scotley argued that his were only poorly cut, and he was blamed for the fucked up salmon, but he argued that those sat out due to the Wellingtons being slow.

At elimination, Scotley accused Trev of being the weak link and running around with a clipboard, but he argued against that, and reminded the former how he slacked off during punishment making himself snacks. He was named the red team's second nominee for elimination, with Scotley as the first, and they were joined by Jose. During his plea, Ramsay asked him about the clipboard comment, but he argued that it was a notebook, and was trying to find his voice since Season 8. He survived elimination, and while being dismissed, he said there was no room for Scotley’s attitude in the competition and that he himself was busting his ass to become a leader.[25]

Episode 10[]

Main article: Episode 1810 - Poor Trev

When the Blind Taste Test was announced, Trev still remembered his poor performance back in Season 8, but was ready for that year. He was the first person from the red team to compete, and went up against Heather. He failed to get all four of his ingredients correct, resulting in Jose getting all three punishments. After his turn, he was disappointed by his disastrous performance, not helping matters when the blue team roasted him for that. During Motto's turn, he was spared from any punishments.

The red team lost the challenge 6-10, and they were punished by cleaning up the dining room ahead of a private dinner service for two charities, polish all their silverware, and make fresh gelato by hand. When going back to the dorms, a despondent Trev felt like he made an ass of himself, and felt that his chances of winning the Executive Chef position were gone. However, Heather told him it was not over yet, and encouraged him not to give up. During the punishment, he accidentally broke the churner needed for the gelato maker, with Motto accusing him of trying to sabotage them, as Bret and Jose mercilessly teased him for his poor performance. Already in a bad mood, he briefly left the kitchen to go back to the dorms to try and calm down. While he felt that it was his most stressful day in the entire competition, he knew that he had to bounce back for Ramsay’s sake, and came back to the kitchen to continue.

During the Charity Night dinner service, Trev was cooking the scallops for Motto's course, but his first attempt had inconsistent searing on both sides, forcing the men to start over. When Ramsay asked about the large number of wasted scallops on a tray, he blamed Bret. He was in charge of the truffle carbonara course, and he and Kanae agreed on eight minutes. He immediately got vocal with his teammates, and while he knew the men would get annoyed by his loud Irish ass, he wanted his course to be perfect. During the plating, he wanted sex on a plate for his presentation, and told the men to keep the carbonara rolled up tight and clean, with Sous Chef Christina pointing out how one of them was a perfect example, allowing him to send his course out first. On Jose's course, he was cooking the veal, but when about half of them were sent back for being raw, he accused Jose of dropping the ball, screwing the men by not doing his part and compared the raw veal to something from a horror movie, and then, a giant scab.

The red team lost the service, and they were asked to nominate two people for elimination. During deliberation, Trev felt that everybody fucked up on every course, minus the carbonara and soufflé course, and argued that he should not be nominated for his two courses he led perfectly. However, Jose reminded him that the soufflé course was a team effort, and Motto said that the only reason the carbonara course was perfect was that he did not cook anything, before being reminded about the scallop incident. He argued that those scallops were Bret’s fault, and asked Jose who he thought the raw veal came from, either himself or Motto, implying the latter cooked them, but Jose argued that there was no way of knowing that, but believed Trev to be responsible. After, the men accused him of not owning up to his mistakes, and brown-nosing to Ramsay.

Trev was named the red teams second nominee for elimination, with Jose as the first, but while he argued that the men nominated him for many reasons, including the accusations for brown nosing, Bret said that the men would be stronger without him. When Jose accused him of not taking responsibility of his mistakes, he argued that he worked with both Bret and Motto on the scallops and veal respectively, and felt that he did not make any mistakes on those courses. During his plea, he said that he was determined to win the Executive Chef position, and he proved it by bouncing back. He survived elimination, and while being dismissed, he knew that he could cook, and could two shits of what the others felt about him.[26]

Episode 11[]

Main article: Episode 1811 - Devilish Desserts

Back at the dorms, both Bret and Motto remained hostile towards Trev, but he refused to give up as that would be the biggest insult towards Ramsay. The next day, he did a mock "Good Day HK" news report of the dorms.

During the Creative Dessert Challenge, Trev got irritated when Bret decided to do arancini balls as the former kept doing Italian foods, and asked if he was Rocky Balboa. Then, he was confident that his healthy dessert was going to work, but Motto thought he was getting overconfident. He was the final person from the red team to have his dish judged, and went up against Ariel. He made avocado kisses, but despite being confident that they would well-received, Valerie Gordon brutally criticized the dish for being everything she hated about healthy eating mixed in desserts, being soggy, and compared the taste to a bush. So, he scored 2 points.

The red team lost the challenge 11-14, and they were punished by taking in deliveries of 600 pounds of ice, and properly cutting them into ice cubes for service. As they were dismissed, Trev remarked to Ramsay that he had been in all but one punishment since the competition began. During the punishment, he decided to work alone as he did ice-breaking before, but he and the other two struggled with the task. Later, he managed to get a perfect ice cube, but Motto reminded him that one cube was how much he got on the previous challenge. But, when he disregarded it as a personal opinion, Bret got angry by that as Valerie Gordon was a well regarded pastry chef. However, he did not care if Bret and Motto hated him as he needed to get to black jackets so he would be by himself, before smashing the ice block with a hammer, and commenting that the men were not bonding at all as the other two wanted him gone.

During prep, Trev asked to speak to Sous Chef Christina privately as he wanted to look into more possibilities after the competition, before accusing his teammates of not listening to him. After, Sous Chef Sous Chef Christina told him that they can discuss opportunities after the competition even if he did not win. During dinner service, he was on the meat station. While he was confident about the placing of the men, Bret and Motto did not respond to his questions, much to his annoyance as he compared it to a library. While Bret sent up his halibut, he was late on the Wellington and sent up a raw piece. Even worse, Ramsay saw the test version had a better cook on it, told him to cook that for one more minute, and berated the men for their insufficient teamwork. While Bret was angry about that, he knew that Ramsay was only riding his ass because he wanted to see how well he could bounce back, with the latter urging him to get a grip. Later, the men sent up their entrées, but Motto noticed that he failed to put the crust on the lamb, forcing him to bring it back to fix it as he claimed to have never made the lamb before. When Ramsay asked him how he forgot the lamb crust, he argued that he never did one before and that he forgot, irritating Bret. Then, he served an overcooked portion of lamb, leading to an irritated Ramsay to send the men to the pantry room, berated them for not finding their stride, and called the overcooked lamb the biggest insult. The final mistake he made was sending up a broken Wellington, and it was one of the two dishes that led to Ramsay kicking the red team out of the kitchen.

The red team lost the service, and they were asked to nominate one person for elimination. During deliberation, Trev accused Bret’s raw fish to screwing him up that night, there was no communication in the men at all, and accused them of trying to send him home. Then, he and Bret bickered about who performed worse that night.

During elimination, Ramsay asked the men what happened, Trev said there was no communication from the team, and that he was fighting for feedback from Motto and Bret, though the two argued against that. Despite being labeled by Bret as the weakest chef on the red team, he argued that the latter was a one-trick pony for cooking only Italian food. He and Bret were called down to the front, and during his plea, Ramsay asked him what happened as the men have clearly given up on him, but he said they hated him for standing up to them, claimed to have never given up, and that cooking was his life. He was eliminated for being nominated three times in a row, being on a downward spiral, and the men clearly giving up on him. Before leaving, Ramsay wished him the best of luck. During his exit interview, he argued that Bret should have gone home instead, the latter and Motto lacked the passion he had, and that he had to give up his life to come back.

Ramsay's comment: "Trevor is one of the most passionate chefs I've ever had in Hell's Kitchen. But until he has the support of his brigade, he'll continue to be lost at sea." [27]

During prep, Trev did not know where the pancetta went and told Mia to relax. During dinner service, he was on the appetizer station. At one point, Mia tasted his risotto, told him to add salt, and he got his risottos accepted. Later, he got dismayed after seeing Heather and Roe check the latter's refires as it caused a slowdown in the kitchen. Mia eventually lost the finals to Ariel.[29]

  • Trev: “Hey, I wasn’t boiling FUCKING EGGS in the middle of a punishment! Making yourself a snack, smoking on the fucking deck, eating White Castle while we’re all cutting shit! Scotley: “I've cut more than you! Okay, I've cut way more than you!” Trev: “I don't give a shit how much you've cut, it's a punishment! WHAT WERE YOU DOING, MAKING LUNCH?! YOU'RE MAKING SNACKS!"
  • (After scoring zero on the blind taste test) "Survey says... (imitates buzzer) Wrong again!"
  • (To Bret) "Sometimes the clown gets sick of laughing, Bret!!!"
  • (About Scotley asking for yellow food coloring) "Scotley, how about I go in the back and see if we got some finger paints and you could draw your dish first. Oh that sounds like a good idea, right?"
  • (About Jose when asked who's running the section) "This would be my friend Jose. Have you met Jose, who doesn't know how to cook salmon? Oh wait, yo-you have nothing to say?"
  • "Good morning, Hell's Kitchen. How are you today? Oh, I'm fine. Thanks for asking. Let me tell you, the roads are backed up from here to Santa Monica. And it doesn't really matter because we won't be getting outside anytime soon today. So I hear the weather is shitty, but, again, we wouldn't know anything about that. So back to you at HK Station. Trev, how you doing this morning? This sucks!"
  • (To Ramsay about Bret just before elimination) "Fish station fucked me!"
  • (After being eliminated) "I don't understand. I think Bret should be going home, not me. That guy definitely doesn't have as much passion as I do, neither does Motto. Those guys didn't give up anything. They have a lifestyle and I don't have a lifestyle. I just gave up my life to come back here again. You know, I really know that I can do this and I don't want to do anything else with my life so I'm just gonna keep pushing."
