While the Blue Team lost the challenge, Shant told Anthony that he is in a lot of pain, and that he pulled a muscle. Shant expressed that the pain continued to get worse, and he told Meghan that he hoped that it is not major. Eventually, Shant went to a medic, and he expressed that he wanted to go to the hospital right away while the pain eventually reached his neck, and that he felt that he has disappointed his family, fiancé, and Chef Ramsay. As Shant is taken to the hospital, Ramsay eventually announced before dinner service that Shant will not return to compete in the competition. Ramsay gave no comment on his departure, and he did not receive the coat hanging and portrait burning sequence.
