Season 13 of Hell's Kitchen aired on Fox between September 10 and December 17, 2014. Kitchen supervisor La Tasha McCutchen, from Winter Haven, Florida, was the winner of that season and was awarded a Head Chef position at Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill at Caesars Atlantic City, with a $250,000 salary. She eventually shared this prize with the next season's winner.

- This season had a new narrator, who also returned for Season 14. The identity of the new narrator was Roger Craig Smith (who is known for voicing the titular character of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise since 2010, Chris Redfield from the Resident Evil franchise from 2009 to 2015, and Ezio Auditore da Firenze from the Assassin’s Creed franchise since 2009. Jason Thompson, the narrator of Seasons 1 through 12, returned in Season 15.
- This season marked the debut of the current maître d′ of Hell's Kitchen Marino Monferrato.
- Along with Season 15, this season featured the longest streak of male contestants eliminated, with six.
- This is the last season to date where the black jacket chefs went up against another group of chefs for dinner service.
- This is the first season since Season 7 to not have any black jacket chefs keep their jacket.
- This is also the first season since Season 5 where a non-black jacket contestant was allowed to keep their jacket.
- This season saw two changes to the most recurring challenges of the series.
- The Signature Dish Challenge had the scoring now a 1-5 ranking.
- The Blind Taste Test now featured a dunk tank (or any other punishments that were thematic) that occurred when the taster got multiple answers wrong.
- Future Reappearances: Roe would return in Rookies vs. Veterans.
- This season's and Season 10's nomination history are very similar where only the winner and the 3rd place finisher avoided being nominated.
- This is the seventh season when a contestant won without being nominated for elimination.
