Nicole Gomez was a contestant on Season 21 of Hell's Kitchen. She ranked in 15th place.

Season 21[]

Episode 1/2[]

The eighteen new chefs arrived at Los Angeles in two separate limos heading to Hell's Kitchen. The limos arrived at Hell's Kitchen, where Marino was waiting for them. Marino greeted the chefs and introduced them to their Sous Chefs Christina and Jason. They explained that there would be obstacles, but you can't let them get in your way. Later, Ramsay was on a monster truck and crashed into a car, shocking the contestants. Ramsay used it as an example of not letting anything get in your way. Ramsay explained like how the limos got them where they wanted to go, and he wanted a chef to take him where he wanted to go. Ramsay wondered whether to hire a chef in their 20s or a chef in their 40s and announced that this season would be a battle of the ages. Ramsay told the contestants to separate between a group of 20s and a group of 40s. Ramsay announced the Signature Dish Challenge and gave the chefs 45 minutes to cook their dishes.

During the Signature Dish Challenge, Sous Chef Jason asked Nicole if she was okay. She said yes, and it was the heels. She felt uncomfortable wearing heels, but it made her feel sexy and confident. She was the third person from the blue team to have her dish judged by Ramsay and went up against Sakari. She revealed that she started at a playboy mansion for her internship. She presented a tagliatelle pasta with fresh burrata, which got Ramsay nervous when she said fresh. She revealed that she didn't make the pasta or the sauce. Ramsay criticized it for looking terrible and tasting worse than it looked, causing her to get one point. The blue team lost the challenge after a tiebreaker at 31, and they were punished with delivery day and cleaning both kitchens.

Before the team left, Ramsay reminded her that her team could have won if she had made her own pasta. She felt like she let her team down but promised to do better.[1]

During the Creative Chicken Wing Challenge, Nicole knew she did horrible on the Signature Dish Challenge yesterday, so she wanted to be prepared today. She was one of the top three chefs from the blue team from Sous Chef Jason, which left her in shock and felt like she went from zero to hero. She presented her Gochujang chili wings with tamarin honey. Ramsay praised it for being cooked right and nothing store-bought. However, she lost the challenge as she failed to dethrone Alex.

During dinner service, Nicole was serving Alex's Asian-themed wings in the dining room with Tara. She was not seen much that night and the blue team lost the service. They were asked to nominate two people for elimination.

Episode 3[]

Nicole called Billy unnervingly loud at the dorms.

During theWhole Lobster Prep Challenge, Nicole was the sixth person from the blue team to present her lobster, and it scored a point. After the blue team finished, she felt like they would win. The blue team lost the challenge 5-6, and they were punished by making seafood stock out of fish guts and separating the rice.

During dinner service, Nicole was at the meat station with O'Shay. She added oil to the chicken instead of butter, leading her teammates to tell her to dump it out. Still, she got annoyed that they were micromanaging her as she knew how to cook. Then, O'Shay called out five minutes for the Wellingtons, which annoyed her as he said it every other minute. She walked the chicken, but it was pink. She believed that mistake happened because she got yelled at by everyone, and she got confused. Later, she walked up her New York Striploin, but it turned out raw, leading to the blue team getting kicked out of the kitchen.

The blue team lost the service and was asked to nominate two people for elimination. During deliberation, Billy saw the meat station, O'Shay and Nicole, as the apparent nominees, and Abe found no motivation or motion from them. She argued that meat had problems the previous night, but Alex said he did not hear from her or O'Shay. She said she knew how to cook a chicken, but she did not get any feedback from O'Shay.

Nicole was named the blue team's second nominee for elimination, with O'Shay as the first. During her plea, she felt she did not get any communication from O'Shay. When Ramsay asked her if she was a better chef than O'Shay, she believed she was as she knew how to communicate. She survived elimination. While being dismissed, she said she wanted to compete but knew she had a lot of work to do. Later that evening, Ramsay called the dorms and had everyone back downstairs, making her wonder if the former had changed his mind about her. Ramsay announced that the battle of the sexes was back on the following day, and she, Tara, and Mindy were reassigned to the red team.[3]

Episode 4[]

During the first part of the Creative Sliders Challenge, Nicole did not want to let the red team down. She grabbed red onions for the beef sliders. The red team had the fastest time, receiving a five-minute head start over the blue team. During the cooking, she and Sommer made beef sliders. When choosing who to present their dishes, she thought her sliders were better, and the red team went with her beef sliders. She was the final person from the red team to have her dish judged and went up against Brett from the blue team. She needed a four to tie or a five to win. She presented her meat and potato burgers with white cheddar and bacon. They were deemed clever, but David Myers and Ramsay felt it was too basic. So, she scored two points, and the red team lost the challenge 14-16. They were punished by prepping potatoes for fries needed for the following service.

Later that evening, the women went through roleplay over what could happen at service, but Nicole had problems reciting the order back. Alyssa started to get annoyed by her lack of memory, and Sommer accused her of having no clue about anything. The following morning, she told the women that her safe word was Sandwich and asked them to say it whenever she got flustered. She said it was the same word she used for her dog to calm her down, but Mindy got confused as she thought the former was talking about sex. Cheyenne explained that she had a rescue dog named Sandwich, which was the same word as the latter’s safe word.

During prep, Ileana was not confident about working with Nicole on garnish as the latter could not follow tickets. During dinner service, she was at the garnish station with Ileana. She was not seen much, except when Dafne told her not to stand around and do something. The red team lost the service and was asked to nominate three people for elimination. During deliberation, Alyssa brought up her name as the former did not want to worry about her in the future. She said she did not get yelled at all that night, but Alyssa felt she did nothing that night. Dafne did not think she was helping them, but she could not understand why she was being targeted as she did not screw up that night.

Nicole was named the red team's second nominee for elimination, with Alyssa as the first and Mindy as the third. During her plea, she tried to say she was prepared that night, but Ramsay reminded her that she was supposed to argue about why she should stay. She said she did not give up and started prepping garnishes, but Ileana said she did nothing to help her other than drop some fries. Ramsay agreed and felt she was hiding that night. She was eliminated for not doing much that night and not showing the same passion she had the previous night. During her exit interview, Nicole was disappointed that the women abandoned her and told Sandwich she was coming home.

Ramsay's comment: "With her team struggling, Nicole decided to hide instead of help. That's all I needed to see."[4]
