Season 3[]

Episode 1[]

Main article: Episode 301 - 12 Chefs Compete

The twelve new aspiring chefs were heading down to Hell's Kitchen in SUVs while getting to know each other on the ride. Once they arrived at Hell's Kitchen, Jean-Philippe introduced himself. Before he could go into how he and Ramsay met, the latter appeared and told the former to cut the crap. Afterwards, Ramsay ordered the contestants to cook their signature dishes.

During the Signature Dish Challenge, Joanna was the second person to have her judged by Ramsay and claimed she would flirt and manipulate to get everything from Ramsay. She made parmesan chicken with spaghetti and had a raspberry Bellini pairing. Ramsay handed her the Bellini and said the dish was dry and salty before telling her to get her Raspberry Bellini and herself back in line.

During prep, Joanna displayed poor leadership, pushing Julia away from prepping items and arguing with Bonnie about cooking the risotto. That left Bonnie frustrated as she wanted to hit her. At the same time, Melissa and Sous Chef Mary-Ann were concerned over the lack of harmony with the women. While she agreed with Julia about the lack of communication with the women, she decided to say nothing as she wanted to appear confident.

During dinner service, Joanna was at the meat station. At one point, she found out that Bonnie already put the garlic in the risotto when she was not supposed to. That led to an argument between them, with a dismayed Ramsay asking why now on an important night, but Tiffany promised it would not happen again. Later, she had an argument with Melissa when the latter nitpicked at her work. She went off on a tangent despite Tiffany trying to calm her down, claiming that Melissa ruined her spaghetti, but Ramsay told them to stop arguing. When Jean-Philippe came back with rejected spaghetti orders, she blamed Melissa for ruining them. The red team lost the service, and Melissa was named "Best of the Worst." Back at the dorms, she told Melissa that Julia was the weakest chef and felt she was clueless that night.

Joanna was Melissa's first nominee for elimination, with Tiffany being the second. During her plea, she claimed that she had the best teamwork of the women and threw Tiffany under the bus for struggling with appetizers. She survived elimination, and while being dismissed, she said that she would win no matter how many people she screwed over.[1]

Episode 2[]

Back in the dorms, Joanna said she did not want to be up for elimination again and did not want to hear any more shit from Ramsay.

During the Dover Sole Challenge, Joanna reminded the women to focus on quality and not quantity. She was the last one up for the red team, and she revealed to have only done three, Jen hoping that they were all perfect to win. Fortunately for the women, all three were deemed acceptable, and the red team won 9-8. She happily said that winning the challenge redeemed herself for being nominated last night. They went on a fishing trip with Ramsay in the Pacific Ocean and ate lunch with him.

During prep, Joanna was willing to follow Melissa's lead to prove to Ramsay that "Hell's Bitches" was no more. During dinner service, she was at the garnish station. At one point, she realized that she forgot to cook lettuce for one of the dishes, and while she tried to fix it, she got called out by Ramsay for not communicating with him. She got emotional by that but tried to keep control of herself as Bonnie gave her some reassurance. Later, Melissa tried to help her out on the garnish station by cooking her spaghetti, but Ramsay kicked her off. She did not like how Melissa was a show-off, and Ramsay told the women to keep their attitude together as they only had three tables left. The red team won the service.[2]

Episode 3[]

During the Army and Navy Service Challenge, Joanna deemed a man in uniform sexy and was responsible for the hash browns. At one point, one of her orders of hash browns was sent back for being raw. Her problem caused a domino effect as their momentum halted, much to Bonnie's dismay. Then, she served a raw and salty hash brown, and Ramsay told her he had it with her attitude and inconsistency. The red team won the challenge, and they were rewarded with a helicopter ride and had lunch with Ramsay on the USS Midway.

During dinner service, Joanna was at the appetizer station. When cooking her risottos, she knew it was her time to shine and to lead. However, her risotto was too salty, forcing the women to restart. Although she sent up her refired order, she was forced to redo it a third time when Bonnie's scallops came out raw. On their third attempt, Ramsay smelled something foul and found out that the crab she used had gone rancid, shocking Bonnie over the fact that she did not even realize it earlier. Even though none of the crab was served to a customer, Ramsay scolded her for using it as it would have killed someone. After, Ramsay kicked her off appetizers and sent Julia to replace her, telling Jean-Philippe to recommend the diner to a different restaurant.

The red team lost the service, Ramsay told Joanna not to give him attitude when things when wrong, and they were asked to name two people for elimination. During deliberation, she believed she was up for elimination, something Melissa and Bonnie agreed. When Jen tried to deflect her trashed pasta incident, she and Melissa reminded her that the incident proved she had no standards. When the women wanted to nominate Julia for her lack of experience, she defended the latter as she believed Julia could run a Michelin star restaurant.

Joanna was the red team's first nominee for elimination. Julia was the second and was eventually joined by Jen after she nominated herself. During her plea, she knew her performance was weak but argued that, unlike Jen, she would never serve Ramsay trash. However, Ramsay reminded her that she was willing to cook spaghetti with rancid crab. She was eliminated for her lack of passion and refusing to admit her mistakes. During her exit interview, she refused to let her elimination stop her and felt she grew stronger before declaring that she would obtain her ultimate goal of opening her own restaurant.

Ramsay's comment: "Not only did Joanna serve rancid crab that could've seriously made a customer ill, she completely gave up, screwed her team, and if you can't handle one individual section, you've got no chance of running a business." [3]
