The eighteen new chefs arrived at Hell's Kitchen, where Marino awaited them. The chefs entered Hell's Kitchen and noticed the past winners from each season before entering the dining room. To give the chefs some inspiration, Ramsay decided to have them walk through the famous doors and have a taste of what it felt like to win. Afterwards, the chefs got to know each other before the Sous Chefs arrived, explaining how their time in the competition helped their careers. Afterwards, a guitar player appeared and played the national anthem as four other doors appeared behind the curtain, each figure explaining their journey for the American Dream. When Oscar De La Hoya told his story, Jermaine was shocked as it reminded him how much of a fighter he was. After Ramsay stepped out, he said he got a Ramsay cookbook from his brother when he was nine and called it a dream to be in the latter's presence. Ramsay welcomed the chefs to the twenty-second season, where they were celebrating the American Dream. Ramsay said the three celebrities the chefs saw were proof of the American Dream and that Hell's Kitchen was part of the American Dream. Ramsay said the winner of that season would become his Head Chef at Hell's Kitchen in Caesars Las Vegas with a salary of $250,000. Then, Ramsay told the chefs that their Signature Dish Challenge was about to begin.
During the Signature Dish Challenge, Jermaine was the seventh chef from the blue team to have his dish judged by Ramsay and went up against Leigh. He made lobster mac and cheese and scored four points for a unique taste, only losing out on a five as the presentation did not sit well with Ramsay. The blue team lost the challenge after a 29-point tie. They were punished by participating in delivery day and cleaning up both kitchens.[1]
After Ramsay announced that the winner of the Creative Scallops Challenge would win a Punishment Pass, Jermaine was determined to win after the punishment the men had received the previous evening. When the men looked at the dishes, he saw that Tad's jambalaya was undercooked, which he knew Ramsay would not like. Then, his dish was tasted. He made it to the top three of the blue team and was the first person to have his dish judged by Ramsay. He made scallops in a sweet and spicy sauce, which Ramsay liked as the cook was proper and the heat was balanced. He lost the challenge as Johnathan's dish dethroned him. Back at the dorms, he got weirded out by Jason's STD comment as he did not think the latter was funny.
During dinner service, Jermaine and Johnathan served seafood ceviche in the dining room. He was not seen that night, and both teams were named joint losers. They were asked to nominate two each.
He was not nominated for elimination.[2]

Back at the dorms, Jermaine reassured Brad that he had a moment and it was over.
During the American Citizen Brunch Service Challenge, Jermaine was at the meat station with Mattias. He told Ryan that the chicken was taking longer than expected as he did not want it undercooked. After the opening night, he refused to let history repeat and told Ramsay he would be ready in four minutes. Afterwards, he got his dish served. The blue team won the challenge, and they were rewarded with a Los Angeles-styled pool party at the Godfrey Hotel with a lunch catered by Craig’s. During the reward, the men gazed at his leopard swim trunks, and Johnathan could not believe his flexibility.
During dinner service, Jermaine was at the meat station with Mattias. Mattias had him send up his chicken at one point, but it was raw. Later, he and Mattias stammered on timings before serving a blue steak and a broken Wellington. Having had enough for the night, Ramsay kicked the men out of the kitchen. Both teams were named joint losers, and they were asked to nominate two each. During deliberation, Jason asked him who was firing most of the proteins that night, and he explained that Mattias worked on most of the meat while he did the Wellingtons. Johnathan felt that he let Mattias fall that night, but he argued that he had his own problems to focus on. Still, Ryan pointed out that he only had Wellingtons that night and sold six. However, he refused to believe he did anything wrong that night, and he and Mattias were committed to the plan.
He was not nominated for elimination.[3]

During the American Classics Challenge, Jermaine challenged Donya, and their dish was a lobster roll. During the cooking, he told Donya that Queens would beat the Bronx. He was the final person from the blue team to have his dish judged by Ramsay, and he presented his warm lobster roll with bacon. After Ramsay tasted it, he returned him and Donya in line before his final decision. Ultimately, he tied with Donya, and the blue team won the challenge 7-6. He felt he was through the roof after winning it for his team. The blue team was rewarded with a trip to Santa Barbara with parasailing and dinner at the Hotel Milo.
During dinner service, Jermaine was at the garnish station. At one point, he hoped there were no more mistakes after seeing a few that night. The blue team lost the service, and they were asked to nominate two people for elimination. During deliberation, he said his vote would be for someone who had food sent back or had the most problems that night. When he asked who had food sent back that night, Mattias and Jason raised their hands, but Ryan did not. Ryan refused to be nominated for a lamb that was two minutes off, but he thought otherwise. Although he acknowledged Ryan as a leader, he thought the latter should have owned the raw lamb. He nominated Ryan and Mattias. As the three men refused to go up for elimination, he said they must pick two of them.
He was not nominated for elimination.[4]
Episode 5[]

During the Protein Identification Challenge, Jermaine was paired up with Brad, and they were the third person from the blue team to compete. Their dish was halibut and veal. They scarfed down the dish but got chicken and beef immediately wrong as it was a turf and turf dish. Their second attempt, flounder and pork, was also wrong. As Dahmere got frustrated by his and Brad's performance, the duo got their third attempt accepted. The blue team won the challenge 6:39-13:14, and they were rewarded with an axe-throwing experience, with Ramsay joining them. During the reward, he saw Dahmere's athleticism shining after seeing the latter's axe-throwing skills.
During dinner service, Jermaine was at the meat station with Johnathan. He wrapped the Wellingtons in tin foil at one point to ensure they did not overcook. Jason was concerned, but the former hoped he knew what he was doing. He tried to serve his Wellingtons one and a half hours into service, but Johnathan stepped in and checked which one was perfect. As the men bickered, he served overcooked Wellingtons with broken pastry. Ramsay scolded him for foil wrapping the Wellingtons as it was the worst thing they could have done to it, and he never taught them that. The blue team won the service.[5]
Episode 6[]

During the Fusion Cuisine Challenge, Jermaine went up against Donya and hit Mexican, while the latter hit Spanish. While cooking, he remembered Queens's Spanish and Mexican flavors and decided to make a skirt steak taco paella. Recalling that he faced off against Donya before, he planned on winning it for the South side yet again. He was the first chef from the blue team to have his dish judged and presented his paella-inspired taco. When he bluntly said he cooked the rice in a pot, Johnathan face palmed in embarrassment, and he said he cooked the rice in veal stock. While Tony Messina liked the cooking of the steak, he and Ramsay thought it needed more spice. Still, he scored over Donya and said he won it for Queens. The blue team won the challenge 4-3, and they were rewarded with a day playing bubble soccer and brand-new Keurig sets.
During dinner service, Jermaine was at the fish station with Jason. When the appetizers came down, Ramsay saw that his scallops were dirty and ordered him to try again. Still, the refire was accepted. After Brad's exit, Ramsay asked both teams to nominate two each. During deliberation, he suggested they go on with what happened in service. He said that nothing was sent back on fish after the dirty scallops were rejected. He voted for Devon for the raw steaks, while Johnathan voted for him. He did not think one bad scallop dish was worse than raw meat, but Devon argued that he had yet to lead a station. Devon knew he could not hide behind someone anymore, but he argued that he wanted to learn from people rather than try to get ahead of himself. He accused Devon of being a snake, but Jason did not care as he asked who was going up with him.
Jermaine was named the blue team's second nominee for elimination, with Jason as the first. That surprised him as he thought they agreed on Devon, making Ramsay ask who was telling the truth. However, Jason confirmed that what Dahmere said was true, and the rest of the men told Ramsay it was a general consensus. They joined Raneisha and Sandra from the red team. During his plea, he called himself a quick learner and a big team player. He survived elimination. While being dismissed, he claimed he had the most integrity in the house and thought Devon tried to attack it.[6]
Episode 7[]
- Main article: Episode 2207 - All Up in Your Grills
During the Grilling Challenge, Jermaine cooked the tri-tip steak and went up against Donya. He was the final person from the blue team to have his dish judged, and he presented his tri-top steak with pork and beans, and grilled corn. It looked lifeless, but Aaron Franklin liked the flavors of the streak. The blue team lost the challenge 2-5, and they were punished by cleaning the grills, disassembling them, and packing them up for the women.
During the Steak Night dinner service, Jermaine was at the garnish station. He felt nervous as he was responsible for manning garnish and was told to get everything ready ahead of time. However, Jason noticed that he was not responding to anyone, and it would not be wise to wait until the last minute. He served his garnish, but the mushrooms were ice cold. Then, he served his refire, but it was cold again. He was ready to accept any help he needed, but he served cold macaroni and cheese. Ramsay was unhappy that things were served cold, and Devon felt that garnish was dead in the weeds. Dahmere stepped up as the leader, and the former helped him get his refire accepted. On the following order, Jason took it upon himself to help him with garnish. The blue team lost the service, and Dahmere was named the "Best of the Worst". During deliberation, he admitted that the flow he had did not work. While he thanked the men for helping him, he did not believe he deserved to go home as Devon made mistakes on meat and did not think the latter took ownership of the raw steaks. Still, Devon accused him of causing him to fail that night.
Jermaine was Dahmere's first nominee for elimination, with Devon as the second. After going down, Ramsay asked him where his fight had gone because he had seen four people surrounding him that night. He claimed he fought back as much as he could despite the initial problems and having multiple people on garnish. During his plea, he said his performances have been solid, and he was a fighter. Ramsay asked him if he was the weakest chef, but while he said no, he struggled to answer who they were. During Devon's plea, the former deemed him the weakest chef on the blue team. He was eliminated for failing to get the garnish station under control from the start of service and bringing the blue kitchen down. During his exit interview, he accused Devon of attacking his character, but he told his other teammates to keep their heads held high.
Ramsay's comment: "Jermaine couldn't even handle the garnish station, so he ended up at the bus station."[7]

Trivia[]
Quotes[]
- (About Tad’s Jambalaya dish) "Tad, you can't sell that as a jambalaya. Probably should have sold it as a jamba-liar!"
- (After being nominated) "I have the most integrity out of everybody in this fucking house. Devon tried to come for my integrity, and I thought that was a huge slap in my face and a huge attack to my character. I’ll forgive, but I’ll never forget.”
- (After being eliminated) "I definitely don't deserve to be here. Devon is the only person in this competition who tried to attack my character and my integrity. Snakes in the grass are snakes in the grass. It has nothing to do with me and my character, and who I am. So, Blue Team, keep your heads held high. But just be careful about the snakes in the grass."
