When the chefs entered Hell's Kitchen, Jason was confident, saying that nobody was competition to him, and moments later, when Ramsay guaranteed they would complete the first dinner service, he wondered if he lost his damn mind. During the Signature Dish Challenge, he was the sixth person from the blue team to have his dish judged by Ramsay and went up against Fran. His dish was unknown, but Ramsay praised him for being able to cook grits perfectly, and he won the round over Fran.
The blue team won the challenge 4-3, and they were eventually rewarded with a breakfast in bed prepared by the red team the next morning. When Ramsay announced the prize of the season, Jason was shocked and wrapped turn, and compared the prize to Jay-Z. Back in the dorms, the men felt more pressure while studying the menu for the opening night. Then, Ramsay gave the first lesson by television to the chefs, which he claimed was invaluable, and hoped Ramsay would give 20 more lessons like that, which he did. The next morning, while eating his breakfast in bed, he was feeling very good to have won the challenge as getting up early was not his thing, and hoped that the red team would lose again.
During dinner service, Jason was at the dessert station. At one point, after Salvatore burned his first attempt at the capellini, he acknowledged the latter was a cool guy but added that something was wrong with him mentally. After three of his teammates were kicked out, he acknowledged the service was fucked up on both sides as they were constantly getting a man down, and the blue team merged with the red team to serve all the remaining customers. When the last ticket was served, he called that night a bittersweet victory and added that it was harder than he thought.
The blue team won the service, and while being dismissed, Jason was ready to keep beating the women's butts again while they were down.[1]

Back in the dorms, when the men were talking about the problems during the opening night, Jason did not want any of his teammates to be eliminated, despite acknowledging Mikey was on borrowed time as he was one of the weakest and that he knew it. The next morning, at 5 am, the chefs were awakened by an alarm clock amplified all over the dorms by Sous Chefs Scott and Andi. During the Egg Relay Challenge, he was paired with Benjamin, and they were the last pair to compete for the blue team. They succeeded to score three points out of four, the blue team won the challenge 11-10, and they were rewarded with a helicopter tour of Los Angeles, and lunch with Ramsay on top of a building.
During dinner service, Jason was on the meat station with Salvatore. At one point, he told that Mikey needed to snap back and get back into the game after the latter sent an unacceptable risotto, not only for himself but for the team as well. Later, he was not ready yet when Salvatore sent his Wellingtons to the pass because the chicken was still raw, and Ramsay asked him if he could talk, which he answered he could. But, he gave two minutes on the chicken, annoying Ramsay, and the latter was even more dismayed when he went to the meat station to see how he was cooking the chicken. Ramsay brought the pan to the front, declared the chicken was raw, that he was not frying it properly, and asked him if that was his best, which he answered not. He acknowledged he fucked the chicken up, but took it like a man and started over before Ramsay compared "fine dining" to a "fine fucking mess" while kicking the garbage bin. Later, he called Andrew crazy for talking back to Ramsay as the latter was the Jay-Z of restaurants, and after Andrew's departure, he wondered what happened to him as Ramsay made him disappear like a magician.
When both teams were lined up, Ramsay asked Jason if the chicken incident was him at his best, which he answered not, both teams were named joint-losers, and they were asked to nominate one person each. During deliberation, he was quickly considered by Jay, which Benjamin agreed with, but he, while admitting he did not give his 100%, refused to be nominated as he knew he was not the weakest on the team and called it straight bullshit while thinking his teammates were intimidated to work with him. After, he considered Salvatore for not having the best food knowledge and experience.
Jason was the blue team's nominee for elimination, joined Autumn from the red team, and after the latter was sent back in line, he was joined by Jamie. During his plea, he acknowledged that he messed up with the chicken, but could not wait to keep pushing and work for Ramsay in London. He survived elimination, and while being dismissed, he was feeling backstabbed by his teammates, while calling it straight bullshit.[2]
Episode 3[]

While going back to the dorms, Jason was angry at his teammates for their comments at elimination and knew that they made the wrong decision. On the patio, he confronted his teammates by saying that shit was not cool and that he felt backstabbed by them while adding that they were not doing that where he came from. Jay reminded him that his bad temper was following him in the kitchen, but he told Jay to get the fuck out of there, that he was fucking with his life and family, and added that he was not the weakest, while slamming the chair he was holding. Nilka tried to calm him down, but he was still furious and stated that he could break the chair with his bare hands. Finally, he left the conversation, still very upset.
The next morning, the chefs went to the dining room, where Ramsay reminded them that there was no communication and complete silence in the past couple of services. When he asked what they had in common, Jason correctly answered teamwork. After, Ramsay introduced the Marching Band Lunch Service Challenge, while revealing they would be serving the marching band of the University of Southern California. During prep, he was still upset about the previous night but was motivated to continue pushing as he still wanted to work at the Savoy. So, he acknowledged he had to work hard but watch his back at the same time.
During the challenge, Jason was responsible for dressing the salads. When Ramsay called the first ticket, he did not give any callback, annoying Ramsay, who berated him for that. Moments later, he was urged by Sous Chef Scott to get the first salad out quickly, received help from Benjamin, and Ramsay was still annoyed at him not calling back the order. He acknowledged that Ramsay was hard on him about not calling back, but when he did it for the third time, Ramsay told him he was really getting pissed because of that, and he noticed that it was a two-way sword as if he was too quiet or too vocal, it was bad either way. Because of Benjamin's help, he succeeded to send his first salad bowl to the dining room.
The blue team lost the challenge, and they were punished by cleaning a section of the Los Angeles River to help the Heal the Bay organization while wearing yellow jumpsuits. When he received his jumpsuit, Jason wondered if they were serious, and during the bus ride, he described the bus as horrible, old, and bumpy. During the punishment, when the men were joking around the products they found, he found it crazy and begged the country to stop littering as they were causing a mess. The next day, during prep, he was smiling and working as a team player, much to Benjamin's happiness.
During dinner service, Jason was on the garnish station. When the team moved on to entrées, he was behind, and Ramsay was dismayed because he only brought two carrots and his mashed potatoes were not ready yet. He thought that he had to be on guard as his teammates did not want him on the team, was motivated by Scott, and brought his garnishes to the pass after Ramsay asked for them. Later, he was asked for a time by Jay, which he answered one minute, but when Ramsay asked for the halibut and the garnish, he gave 20 seconds, much to Ramsay's dismay. Then, Scott jumped on his station to help him, much to his annoyance, who said that he wanted to take a hot pan and slap his face. Because Scott was scrambling over him, he could not do his job properly. The blue team won the service.[3]
Episode 4[]

The next morning, the chefs went downstairs, where Ramsay introduced the Craps Challenge. Jason was the second person to roll the die for the blue team, landed on E, and chose endive. During the cooking, he was not seen at all, the blue team won the challenge, and they were rewarded with an indoor skydiving activity. However, when he learned the reward, he was dismayed as he thought they would actually jump out of a plane and declared that he was not skydiving as he was not a bird. When the men went outside, he was the only one that was not excited.
Arrived at iFly, Jason saw Ramsay in the wind tunnel and expressed relief that they would not actually jump out of a plane. During the reward, his teammates laughed at the vibrations on his cheeks, and he declared that it was amazing to the point that he wanted to buy a wind tunnel himself, put it in his backyard and charge his neighborhood.
During dinner service, Jason was on the appetizer station with Jay. When Ramsay called the first ticket, he was annoyed because Scott called back the order a couple of times, and then, the latter interfered with his job by giving him clear instructions, but he was annoyed one more time as he knew Scott was trying to make him look bad in front of Ramsay. After that, Salvatore asked him for a time on the pasta, but Scott answered for him, and the latter kept telling him how to cook the pasta. Despite clearly showing annoyance about Scott giving him instructions, his first capellini was accepted. Later, he congratulated Salvatore for perfectly cooking the salmon, and added that not only did Salvatore redeemed himself, he knocked the ball out of the park. Near the end, after Scott served undercooked Wellingtons, he told that the latter should be the next eliminated as he fucked the team up twice already and destroyed them.
Both teams were named joint-winners, and for the blue team, Salvatore was named "Best of the Best". Jason was not nominated for elimination, and said goodbye to Scott, who was transferred to the red team, while welcoming Autumn as a new teammate. While being dismissed, he was amazed as he truly believed Scott should have been eliminated but was happy that he was on the red team.[4]

The next morning, the chefs were woken up by Sous Chefs Scott and Andi, who gave them butchering outfits to wear for the Pork Creation Challenge. Arrived outside, Jason thought they would have to kill the pigs in the pen, and started to feel sorry for them as they did not know they would die. However, Ramsay revealed they would not have to butcher them, and during the first part of the challenge, he was the second person from the blue team to grab his pig.
During the second part of the challenge, Jason was paired with Autumn, and during the cooking, he asked Autumn for a spoon by calling her "baby girl", and rejected her idea of adding a mustard sauce to their dish. They were the second pair from the blue team to have their dish judged, and he served their honey-glazed bacon, which was deemed nice but too sweet by Ramsay because of the honey sauce. Ramsay also suggested that they should have used mustard to balance the dish, and because of that, they lost the round to Holli and Siobhan.
The blue team won the challenge 2-1, and they were rewarded with a spa day at the Glen Ivy Hot Springs Spa, in Corona, while wearing brown bathrobes. Arrived at the spa, Jason called it straight-up beautiful and considered it a place where only the celebrities were going at. During the reward, he and Autumn were getting massages, and he agreed when she said that they picked the right challenge to win. Later, when everybody was in the mud bath, he was sure that his wife would be jealous after watching Autumn in her yellow bikini.
During the Barbecue themed dinner service, Jason was a waiter during the first seating, and on the chicken station during the second. He was not seen at all as a waiter, but when the second seating started, he tried to communicate with Salvatore, without success. Near the end, when they rallied to serve their remaining entrées, he was caught putting a piece of chicken in the fryer, with the fries. Ramsay said his mistake was not good enough, called him a smartass, he took responsibility for his mistake, and he was berated by Ramsay, who yelled two inches away from his face. Then, he started to lose his temper himself, and both of them had an argument over him not listening and not doing his job properly. After the argument, he claimed that he was tired of Ramsay's fucked up ass bullshit and that he did not give a fuck anymore. With only one minute left, he announced that he needed three minutes, which dismayed Ramsay, and because of that and of the time limit being over, the service was shut down, with him thinking that he would be eliminated if the blue team would lose. The blue team won the service.[5]
Episode 6[]

The next morning, everybody went to the dining room, where Ramsay introduced the Mother Sauce Challenge, and Jason worked with the demi-glace sauce. He was the fourth person from the blue team to have his dish judged, went up against Nilka, and presented his grilled steak with rosemary demi-glace sauce. It was praised for having a very lovely taste, but he lost the round to Nilka, which very upset him. After a tie at 2, his dish was deemed the best overall dish despite not scoring a point, with Ramsay even saying that if he went up against anybody other than Nilka, he would have won. Because of that, he clinched the victory for the blue team, felt fucking great, and added that the blue team could not lose.
They were rewarded with a day at the British pub Ye Olde King's Head, in Santa Monica, being taken there in a double-decker bus, and a gift of brand new cookware. During the reward, they played a little game of darts, but Jason's dart did not stick to the board and fell to the ground.
During the Family Night dinner service, Jason was on the meat station. When the blue team moved on to entrées, he sent only three orders of chicken when four were ordered, much to Ramsay's annoyance. The fourth piece of chicken was raw, he was convinced by Salvatore to put it back in the oven, which he did, and Ramsay berated him for making everybody look stupid, before being urged to communicate. After that, the team sent their entrées to the dining room at a good pace, and he praised the teamwork by saying "fuck the red team".
The blue team won the service by a mile, and at elimination, Jason and his teammates said goodbye to Benjamin, who was transferred to the red team.[6]
Episode 7[]

Back in the dorms, Jason hugged Benjamin by saying that he did not want to see him go, praised his talent, and the fact that they all loved him. The next morning, the chefs went to the dining room, where Ramsay introduced the 50th Wedding Anniversary Planning Challenge, where they would update three dishes served at Sal and Marcy's wedding reception 50 years ago. During the challenge, he was paired with Ed on the steak Diane dish, they were the first pair from the blue team to have their dish judged, and went up against Nilka and Siobhan. He did not present their dish, which was a pan-seared filet with mushrooms, crab cakes, and lobster, but they won the round over Nilka and Siobhan.
The blue team lost the challenge 1-2, and they were punished by decorating the dining room for the next service and building a three-story cake. During the punishment, Jason thought that he could not arrange the tiny gift boxes because of the size of his hands, and asked if he was a bow-tie machine.
During the 50th Wedding Anniversary dinner service, Jason was on the appetizer station. He was not seen much but succeeded to serve all of his appetizers in one hour, and at one point, he offered his help to Salvatore on garnish, as he knew the latter was the weakest link on the hardest station. Moments later, he had communication issues with him and told that Salvatore had to know that he would be yelled at, and added that instead of fighting through it, he was just getting quiet.
After both teams went into the dining room to give a standing ovation to Sal and Marcy, the blue team won the service. On the patio, Jason expressed surprise about the red team's decision to nominate Holli, and asked them if they really thought she was their worst cook, which Benjamin answered she was not. While being dismissed, he acknowledged that Salvatore was a cool guy and that they had to step up because they were four members on the blue team, or everybody would go home.[7]
Episode 8[]

While going back to the dorms, Jason was worried as he wondered what they would do with only four people. The next morning, the chefs went on a field trip to the Philippe's restaurant, in Los Angeles, where they tasted the classic French dipped sandwich with Ramsay. Before tasting, Ramsay jokingly stopped his countdown at two to ask what was wrong with him, which he answered that he was just waiting to take the bite, and after the tasting, Ramsay introduced the Gourmet Sandwich Challenge. During the challenge, he was the second person from the blue team to have his sandwich judged, went up against Holli, presented his lobster Cole-slaw Sloppy Joe sandwich, which was praised for having a nice seasoning, and tied the round with Holli.
The blue team won the challenge after a tiebreaker at 3, and they were rewarded with a day at the California Central Wine Country for a wine tasting, and being taken there in a private jet. During the ride, Jason was jokingly told that he was smiling for the third time, and stated that the people who told that winning was not everything were lying. During the reward, he noticed that Autumn was really drunk as she was giggling about everything. The next day, he agreed with Jay when the latter said that he could puke on command, and during the day, he knew that prep was going slowly because some of his teammates were having a bigger hangover than others.
During dinner service, Jason was on the fish station. When Jay gave four minutes on his appetizers, he was worried because his scallops were ready at that moment. His scallops turned out overcooked, which Ramsay compared to ping pong balls, and the latter was dismayed because they were making elementary mistakes. Ramsay told him to set the tone for the evening on the first few tables, and he acknowledged his mistake. Later, he was dismayed about Autumn's lack of communication and told that she dropped the ball. After a lot of mistakes, the blue team was kicked out of the kitchen, and back in the dorms, he wondered why they were kicked out as he thought they were doing fine, but Jay reminded that the communication and timing were off. Both teams were named joint-losers, and they were asked to nominate two people each.
He was not nominated for elimination.[8]
Episode 9[]
- Main article: Episode 709 - 8 Chefs Compete
The next morning, the chefs went to the kitchen where they tasted chicken gorgonzola prepared by Ramsay, but it was revealed that the dish was actually frozen, and Ramsay introduced the Blind Taste Test, which excited everybody. During the challenge, Jason was the third person from the blue team to compete and went up against Benjamin. He only scored one point out of four for correctly identifying fennel, the blue team won the challenge 4-3, and they were rewarded with a day at SeaWorld as VIP guests.
Jason was excited about the reward as swimming with dolphins, slapping high-fives with whales, and hanging out with seals were the things he enjoyed. During the reward, he found the whales incredible and amazing, asked them if he would win Hell's Kitchen, nodded his head up and down for the whales to mimic him, and called them very smart.
When the blue team came back from their reward, they opened their box from the special delivery, and they had to create their own menu that would go against the red team's. During the menu creation, Jason agreed with Jay to keep the menu simple, but Ramsay was not satisfied with the menu, and they agreed to improve it a few minutes before the beginning of the service.
During dinner service, Jason was on the garnish station. At one point, Autumn served raw pork, which made him tell that she was shit and that he was cooking better than her. Later, he sent crispy bacon, he was asked to taste it and to start over by Ramsay, and when Ramsay asked for the pork purée, he did not communicate, much to Jay's annoyance. Ramsay was dismayed by his lack of communication, but he explained that he did not communicate because he was frustrated.
Both teams were named joint-losers, and they were asked to nominate one person each. While going back to the dorms, Jason did not understand why the blue team lost because the customers chose their menu more than the red team's, and during deliberation, he thought he did a good job, but Jay reminded that he had to pick up his ass all day long, and he called him a bitch because of that while continuing to insist that all his shit was done.
Jason was not nominated for elimination, and he and his teammates said goodbye to Autumn, who was transferred back to the red team.[9]
Episode 10[]
- Main article: Episode 710 - 7 Chefs Compete
When the10-Pound Lobster Challenge was introduced, Jason was called down to grab the blue team's lobster, which was jokingly named Salvatore, and he told that he took good care of it. During the challenge, he wanted the shell of the tail, knew that Ed and Jay thought that he was one of the weaker chefs while being determined to emerge, and poached the lobster. When he touched Ed's grilled tail, he thought it was a little bit rubbery. He was the second person from the blue team to have his dish judged, went up against Autumn, and presented his lobster tail containing a saffron polenta with water spinach, rainbow carrots, and asparagus to Michael Cimarusti. When he lifted his dome, the latter was shocked by the huge portion size, and he explained that it was not a single person portion and that because he was a very big guy, he just wanted to eat when he felt hungry. The dish was criticized for not having a lot of good flavors, but the lobster was praised for not tasting bad, and he won the round over Autumn.
The blue team lost the challenge after a tiebreaker at 1, and they were punished by cleaning the dorms while wearing housewife outfits, and prepping both kitchens for the next service. When Jason learned the red team's reward, he was very disappointed as he loved shopping, even to the point that his wife did not like to shop with him as it was a problem. On the patio, he reminded Jay that he told the chefs were always right when the latter was complaining about not deserving to lose. During the punishment, he jokingly called Jay "honey" because of their outfits, and themselves "Hell's Kitchen chef maid service", while stating that it sucked. When the red team came back from their reward, they were still prepping the red kitchen, and he informed to Holli that they had nothing prepped in the blue kitchen, so he went there with Ed to prep a few things.
When both teams were lined up, Ramsay announced that they would cook in the red kitchen together with a two and a half hours time limit, much to the blue team's relief. During dinner service, Jason was on the meat station. The first Wellingtons he sent to the pass were perfectly cooked, and moments later, he acknowledged that Nilka was not herself, but did not lose faith in her as he knew she was a good cook. Later, he commented Ed starting to panic, thinking that he was not as hungry for the Savoy as he was taking a dive since the couple previous services, and after, he was urged to take the lead and to call out the ticket by Ramsay, so all of his meat would be ready at the same time. Ramsay also added that he was too silent, he was ordered to communicate more, and he acknowledged that he was pushed by Ramsay because the latter knew he could emerge as a leader. When he sent his Wellingtons to the pass, they were perfectly cooked, and entrées were being served to some very satisfied customers. After Nilka's elimination, he compared her as a ship being hit by many torpedoes which sank at the bottom of the ocean, and finally, the service was completed while he sent perfectly cooked meat.
When both teams were lined up, Jason was reminded that all of his pieces of meat were cooked perfectly and that he led for the first time since the beginning of the competition. Both teams were named joint-winners, and they were asked to nominate two people together. During deliberation, he considered Ed and Autumn, before being considered by the latter for his overall performance. He asked why he should be nominated, and when Autumn answered that one ticket from him dragged, which he did not agree with, he started to lose his temper, thinking that whatever he would do, people would still be on his back like if he was the easy target.
Jason was not nominated for elimination, he received the fourth black jacket, and while being dismissed, he promised he would win despite being labeled as an underestimated.[10]
Episode 11[]
- Main article: Episode 711 - 6 Chefs Compete
While going back to the dorms, Jason was excited to be in the top six as only the best of the best chefs remained, and when they were celebrating with champagne, he found it weird that that one of them would become the head chef at the Savoy in London.
During the Presentation Challenge, Jason was impressed by all of his teammates' dishes, even saying that Ed's dish made him hungry, and when the culinary students entered to judge the pictures, he thought that Ramsay would judge the pictures while adding that the students did not want to come back in Hell's Kitchen ever. His dish ranked in fourth place, and therefore, he did not participate in the second part and lost the challenge. When Benjamin was declared the winner, he was annoyed as he thought it was the same shit on a different day.
Jason was punished by cleaning the dining room under Jean-Philippe's supervision. He was dismayed because he knew Jean-Philippe wanted perfection and would not settle for less, and while being dismissed, he whispered to Autumn that Jay was pissed. Also, he told that Benjamin's dish was one of the most incredible things he ever saw on a plate. During the punishment, he helped Jay who was not cleaning the floor properly by showing him how to do it, and when Jay added that he did not have any family, he realized it, so he jokingly told him to go find Holli. When Benjamin came back from his reward, he said that he needed his haircut because the Shaggy hair from Scooby-doo was outdated.
During dinner service, Jason was on the appetizer station with Holli. The first capellini that he sent to the pass was under seasoned, he acknowledged that with only six chefs remaining, Ramsay would be on everybody's ass and that there was no way to get out from that, and when Ramsay asked him for a time, he did not answer, much to Ramsay's annoyance, but gave twenty seconds a few moments later. His second attempt at the capellini was accepted, and later, when he noticed that Ed was panicking, he told that he should calm down, get some ice and water, and just cook. When Ed sent overcooked scallops, he was dismayed, and after the latter and Benjamin were kicked out, he was relocated to the fish station. He had good communication, sent beautifully cooked fish, and rallied to complete the service with the other remaining chefs, but when Whoopi Goldberg entered the kitchen to go to the chef's table, he was floored and called it crazy.
When the chefs were lined up, they were asked to nominate two people based on overall performance. During deliberation, Jason was considered by Jay for his bad temper, but he wondered what was Ramsay doing to him if he was scaring him, and added that Jay should stop acting like a girl, before reminding that he never got kicked out of his station.
Jason was not nominated for elimination, and while being dismissed, he noticed that there were four more asses for him to get rid of, declared that he was not there to play and that he was ready to move his family to London.[11]
Episode 12[]
- Main article: Episode 712 - 5 Chefs Compete
Back in the dorms, Jason agreed with Jay about Autumn being dead weight, even stating that they would probably all go home before her.
The next morning, the chefs rode in the SUVs to the Owen's Market, where Ramsay introduced the Budget Challenge. During the shopping part, Jason thought that buying cheap was better, so he bought some frozen ravioli, and he respected the $10 budget. During the cooking part, he revealed that his strategy was to win, believed that he could do it, but when he boiled his frozen ravioli, Autumn was not convinced. He was the second person to have his dish judged and presented his pan-seared tilapia with shrimp and pre-made eggplant ravioli. None of the judges were impressed by his dish, Vern Lakusta said he would pay $18 for it, and Dana Bowen and Joaquim Splichal said they would pay $15 each, so he scored an average of $16. He knew that buying ravioli was a bad decision, acknowledged his mistake, but knew that he wanted to buy as cheap as possible. Eventually, he ranked in last place and lost the challenge to Holli.
Jason was punished by participating in Laundry day, along with Autumn and Benjamin, and when he learned Holli's reward, he was upset as he missed shopping, an activity he enjoyed, for the second time. During the punishment, he was annoyed by Autumn's constant chatter, and when they were given spam sandwiches for lunch, he was still annoyed by that, even found it amazing that she went on constantly talking for hours. When Holli and Jay came back from their reward, he truly believed that there was some chemistry between both of them as they went on the patio to drink and smoke.
The next day, during prep, Jason was slower than everybody else, asked a lot of questions, and when he asked himself why they were that far behind, everybody else laughed. When the chefs were lined up, Ramsay announced that they would constantly switch stations, and he knew it would be challenging and that they had to communicate well.
During dinner service, Jason began on the fish station. On the first ticket, he gave twenty seconds on his scallops, but when he sent them to the pass, they were rejected because only one portion out of two was cooked beautifully, while the other one was overcooked. But, his second attempt was accepted, and on the first switch, he was relocated to the meat station. Holli told him that the Wellingtons have been in the oven for eighteen minutes, so he called 45 seconds for them to be ready, but when he sliced them, he discovered that they were still raw, and did not believe that they have been in the oven for eighteen minutes because of it. So, he decided to put them back in the convection oven without telling anybody, while telling that Holli did not time her meat right, and he was berated by Ramsay for not talking as the rest of the table was ready. He blamed Holli for his mistake, but despite that, entrées were being served at a good pace. On the second switch, he was relocated to the appetizer station, where he joined Holli. He had communication issues with Jay as he had to ask him three times for a time on the John Dory, and he thought that even though Jay was his strongest competition, he was crumbling when he was getting yelled at. On the third switch, Holli left him, and he was joined by Benjamin, on the fourth one, he was relocated to the garnish station, and on the last one, he returned to the fish station. When a halibut dish was sent back for being overcooked, he was berated by Ramsay as he was the one who cooked it, did not order a halibut refire because the customer did not want it anymore. Then, he sustained a minor burn, sent his tuna to the pass, and when the last ticket was called, he communicated with everybody, but when Holli suggested to wait for the garnish, Ramsay came back in the kitchen, and he gestured her to not say that. So, he called two minutes for the garnish, everybody sent their food to the pass at the same time, and the service was completed, with him calling it a wrap.
When the chefs were lined up, Jason thought that switching stations were making some people reset their minds and fall for the loop, before throwing Benjamin and Jay under the bus for those reasons. The chefs were asked to nominate two people for elimination, and during deliberation, he was asked by Jay if he was a good cook only because he called out two tunas, but he did not understand the question as he found it dumb. Also, he told Jay that he only said what he was thinking about what happened, but Jay reminded that he fucked up as much as himself, and responded that he did not like it. After, he started to lose his temper when Benjamin told that he got fucked up on appetizers, and confronted him for being nit-picky, and still thought that the latter and Jay were the quietest. Then, he was considered by Jay for being a good cook but nothing impressive, but he knew that Jay only considered him for being called out.
Jason was the second nominee for elimination, with Benjamin being the first. During his plea, he thought that he did not have a chance to show his total leadership qualities yet and that his teammates nominated him for personal reasons while calling it bullshit. He was eliminated for lacking leadership qualities, but before he left, Ramsay told him that he was not done in the cooking industry, and he received a retrospective montage of his run during his exit interview.
Ramsay's comment: "Jason was good enough to make it to the final five, but he just didn't instill the confidence I needed to see to be my head chef." [12]

When he came back for the final dinner service, Jason was the fourth person who entered the kitchen. He was Jay's second pick, following Benjamin and followed by Fran, and he was happy as it was the blue team being together again.
During dinner service, Jason was on the meat station. When the team moved on to entrées, he sent his lamb, but it was undercooked, and Jay asked him to fire it more, while serving an incomplete table hoping that his refire would be accepted. But, when he sent his lamb refire, it was still undercooked, and Ramsay was dismayed, with Jay telling that he would fuck him. He received help from Benjamin, was told by Jay to cook the lamb medium-rare, and when he sent his third attempt, it was accepted. Moments later, a dish was returned because the lamb was not sliced properly, so Jay asked him to slice it a little thinner, which he took notice of. Then, Ramsay started to push him by yelling, but Jay noticed that he was reacting badly to yelling, so he decided to talk to him calmly, which he called babying him, and the lamb that he brought to the hot plate was accepted. Finally, he helped Jay to serve the last tickets, and complete the service.
When both teams were lined up, Jason was thanked and hugged by Jay for the great service, and he was dismissed, along with the other returning chefs. Eventually, Jay lost the finals over Holli.[13]

- After his appearance on the show, Jason returned to his previous career as a Personal Chef for big events such as NFL Camps and working with celebrity clients such as Venus and Serena Williams.
- He owns a catering company called "The Chef's Lobster & Chocolate Affairs". He also owns a food truck called Smoke 631 BBQ.
Trivia[]
- He is the second contestant from the state of South Carolina, following Dominic (Season 4).
- He is part of a five-way tie for the most consecutive dinner service wins, with five, and is tied with Jen (Season 4), Ed, Jay, and Salvatore (all from Season 7).
- He, Ed, and Jay are the first three contestants to have survived the entire team phase without losing a single service to the opposing team, as the only instances where they lost a dinner service were joint losses.
- He is the sixth contestant to be nominated on the first night their team lost and made it to the black jackets, following Virginia (Season 2), Josh (Season 3), Bobby, Christina, and Jen (all from Season 4).
- His and Bobby's (Season 4) nomination are very similar: both were nominated on the first time their team lost, and was eliminated on the second time being nominated, also coincidentally ranked in 5th place. They both stated that they were 6'4.
Quotes[]
- "Yes Chef, I fucked the chicken up! He got in my face, I took it like a man, started over with a brand new chicken."
- (About Andrew) "Man, this guy, damn! He's just crazy! Chef Ramsay, he's like the Jay-Z of fucking restaurants! You don't talk back to a man like that!"
- "It was just straight bullshit!"
- "I'm not the weakest up in there, I am not. That ain't fucking me!"
- "I could break this fucking chair right now, with my goddamn hands!"
- "Jason don't jump out of fucking planes. Do I look like a bird, a condor, a fucking pterodactyl?"
- "I'm 6'4... I'm a real big guy, and when I get hungry, I just wanna eat."
- "When they say winning is not everything... they lie!"
- (About challenges) "I got a strategy: win."
- (About Benjamin after his reward) "Oh you needed that makeover, bro. The Shaggy from Scooby-Doo look? Yeah you needed a haircut for real."
- (After being eliminated) "I'm proud of myself. From the first dinner service up until my last dinner service, I elevated every time. Being here this long has made me truly a better chef, a better person, and a better leader. I know something else is out there for me. And being here was probably the catapult for that thing to happen. But I loved the experience. It was great. Once in a lifetime. Ups and downs, highs and lows. It was wonderful. But I'd never do this shit again."
