Later, he brought up his chicken, but despite praying that it was acceptable, it was pink, he feared that he could be going home that night and that everybody would remember it after that night. Then, he was making sure that he did not make the same mistake again, and the refire was accepted. After Chad's salmon came out raw, he was pissed as the latter worked in Michelin star restaurants before.
Both teams were named joint losers and were asked to nominate two each. During deliberation, Jared considered Chad for obvious reasons, but the latter remarked that he was not perfect either, felt that his raw chicken made him weak, and announced him as a nominee. Then, he considered Joe for not being ready on appetizers, but Frank reminded him about the raw chicken. However, he felt that he finished strong, and remarked that it would be a cold day in hell if he was ever nominated.

While he had pork chop as his protein, he did not have his dish judged as the challenge ended prematurely. The blue team lost the challenge 1-3, and they were punished by participating in delivery day. During the punishment, he asked for somebody to murder him after seeing the amount of ice they had to carry.
During dinner service, Jared was on the fish station. While he classified himself as a chef that could cook seafood, Ramsay caught him flipping scallops off the heat, resulting in the scallops sticking to the pan and ripping. After being told that he should just go to the dining room for a smoke, Ramsay pulled him out to the dining room, lectured him on that mistake, and ordered him to go outside for some fresh air. When he came back the blue team was just beginning to work on entrées, and Manda told him not to rush her as she could not move fast that night. However, he was unsympathetic about Manda’s injury and told her to keep it to herself. Later, he did not speak up when Ramsay asked for the Arctic char, along with Chad’s question. Because of that, Ramsay had him and Chad sit at the chef’s table, berated the two for not communicating despite being next to each other, and ordered them to talk through their problems. After, the two talked through their problems, went back to their respective stations, their communication improved, and sent out their food.
The blue team lost the service and were asked to nominate two people for elimination. During deliberation, Jared was considered for elimination by Frank and Manda, but he argued that he did not have one fish returned that night, and remarked that Frank closed his ears that night. Jared was the blue team's second nominee for elimination, with Manda as the first. During his plea, he said that he was a strong leader and the only one that communicated during prep, challenges, and services, and was doing everything he could. He won the shootout against Jackie, picked Spain as their country as he wanted to see her struggle with a country that was not Italy. During the cooking, he felt that the only two Asian things Joe knew were massages and karaoke, before giving him hints on what to do. He was the second person from the blue team to have his dish judged by Ramsay and went up against Jackie. He made bodegas with chorizo, red wine, and kale, they were praised for having authentic meatballs, and he scored that round over Jackie. Episode 10[]

Before the Breakfast Challenge, Jared mocked Jackie's comment that she smoked two cigarettes for breakfast by pretending he had a voice box. He was on the vegetarian dish but was concerned with Manda as she was gluten-free and could not even taste the dish she was making and showed her a sweet bread to use as he was of the Jewish faith. Later, he accidentally broke his eggs while flipping them, and after some panicking, he decided to plate it anyway as it would at least taste good despite not looking good. After the judges made their appearance, he got concerned as he would be judged by two great chefs. He was the final person from the blue team to have his dish judged and went up against Jackie. He made Mexican tostadas with black beans, salsa, and tomato salad, and while they were criticized for looking loose, it was praised for tasting nice, and he scored a perfect 9. The blue team won the challenge 25-23, and they were rewarded with a trip to Palm Springs in a private jet, which he was excited for as he never flew in one, and got to ride in ATV’s. During the reward, he felt like a biker gang on the ATV’s.
During the brunch service, Jared was on the fish station. When Jeff Dunham and his puppet Walter came into the blue kitchen he was stoked as Walter was his favorite puppet. While he was not concerned as he and Frank killed it in the last challenge, he brought up raw chicken. Later, he sent up Frank's refire, but the chicken was raw again, and a fed-up Ramsay kicked him out of the kitchen. Back at the dorms, he felt that Frank should have been kicked out as well, and angrily stewed in the living room. When Chad was kicked out, the two vented to each other on how Frank and Ariel screwed them respectively. When Manda was kicked out, the two argued over who made the most mistakes that day.
Both teams were named joint losers and were asked to come up with an explanation over what happened. During deliberation, Jared accused Frank of not having his back on the raw chicken incident, but the latter argued that it was his problem, to which he responded with flipping off Frank. Then, when Frank argued that Manda watching over it meant that she was taking responsibility, it only proved his argument.
At elimination, Jared claimed that he needed help on the chicken, but Frank argued that if he was not man enough to ask for help, then he should just leave. He voted for Frank for elimination and received no votes. While being dismissed, he realized that he could not rely on his teammates for anything any longer.[10]

The blue team won the challenge after a tie at 2, and they were rewarded with a VIP day at the Santa Anita Park Racetrack. Before leaving, Ramsay gave him a bundle of $100's to bet on, and that excited him as he needed the cash to pay back his brother a grand he owed him. During the reward, he was excited as he loved to do anything he could bet on, and later, his horse won the race.
During prep, an annoyed Jared said that he was over Frank's situation. During dinner service, he was on the garnish station. He received help from Frank, and it was thanks to the latter that dishes were being pushed out. While working on their final ticket, he commented that it was exactly like the race tracks the day before. The blue team won the service, and he thanked the lord for it.[11]
Episode 12[]
- Main article: Episode 1512 - 7 Chefs Compete
Back at the dorms, Ashley told Jared that she would have killed herself if she was eliminated before Jackie, and he reminded her that Ramsay was looking for an Executive Chef, not somebody who was going to grow into an Executive Chef. Then, he comforted her over being upset about being nominated.
Before the Blind Taste Test, Jared knew that every treat, such as the ice cream, came with a trick. He was the second person from the blue team to compete, went up against Ashley, and before competing, Dannie asked him not to get whipped cream in her hair. However, he could only correctly guess cinnamon, and Dannie was shot at once. On Dannie's turn, he was shot at twice. The blue team lost the challenge 3-10, and they were punished by prepping durian fruit for a dessert in the following service, which he was not happy about as it smelled like hot garbage, and claimed that it was illegal to open one in Singapore. Back at the dorms, Frank and he commented that the red team’s shopping reward would have been awesome as they would have brought back the stuff home with them after the competition. During the punishment, he felt that Frank was starting to realize that he was not a strong as he originally felt, and was trying to get on Sous Chef Aaron’s good side.
During dinner service, Jared was on the meat station. At one point, Frank asked him to watch his snapper, but he was annoyed as the latter always put his responsibility onto somebody else, even though the refire was accepted. Later, he commented that striploins were hard to cook due to their thickness, and they were overcooked. Then, his refire was blue, and the third attempt had a big gash on it. While he claimed that he gashed it to check the temperature, that made Ramsay pissed as he expected him to use his fingers to check it, and threatened to drop him at the airport if he could not cook a steak. Later, he told Frank not to screw Manda over by sending his fish up before her garnishes and had his fourth attempt accepted as it was not gashed.
The blue team lost the service and were asked to nominate two people for elimination. During deliberation, Jared was reminded about his gashed steak, but he argued that he was calling out times, and refused to go home for anybody else’s fuck up, before considering Frank and Manda for elimination. Then, he commented that he felt Manda had an attitude that night.
Jared was named the blue team's first nominee for elimination, with Frank as the second. During his plea, he felt that he was not the weakest chef on the blue team and that he communicated with his teammates, before accusing Manda and Dannie of being poor communicators. Then, when Ramsay asked the blue team if Frank's claim about them touching his snapper was true, he claimed that Dannie sent the remaining raw snappers to the pass, but she denied it. He survived elimination, and while being dismissed, he commented that he was the last male chef left in the competition, before calling living with five women to be rough.[12]
Episode 13[]
- Main article: Episode 1513 - 6 Chefs Compete
While going back to the dorms, Jared felt that he had a target on his back due to the blue team not liking him. When Ashley asked him if he was okay, he was disappointed on his poor performance, and even though Ashley reminded him that he was still here, he felt more pressure due to being the last male chef competing, and that the only way to become successful was to keep doing what he did. The next day, he received a visit from his mother. While he expected to receive a black jacket, he was surprised that it was a straight jacket.
Before the Cooking School Challenge, Jared knew that it would be difficult as his mother hated being in the kitchen. During the cooking, he felt very nervous around his mother as the latter was not comfortable with a knife, and managed to slice her fingers with it. He and his mother were the first pair from the blue team to have their branzino dish judged, but he was nervous about presenting their dish. Their branzino was praised for a good tasting fish but criticized for the lack of green beans due to his mother cutting herself while prepping them, and their dish was not chosen as the best of the blue team.
The blue team lost the challenge, and they were punished by participating in cleaning day which included cleaning up the dorms. During the punishment, Jared was confused about what to throw out, compared cleaning up the dorms to cleaning up after children and complained about the mascara and long hair on the ground. While he commented that he was the cleanest male ever, Manda commented that it could have been worse with all-male chefs remaining, but he disagreed with that idea.
During dinner service, Jared was on the appetizer and garnish station. At the start of service, he said that he wanted a black jacket like a fat kid wanted candy, even saying that he would sell his mother for one. However, he ignored Dannie’s warning about putting more salt into the carbonara, and it resulted in an overly salty taste, with Manda comparing the taste to seawater. Later, when he sent up his mashed potatoes, Ramsay discovered a long black hair in it and demanded to know whose it was. He claimed that it was Manda’s, but she denied it as her hair was brown. Despite that, his refire was accepted. After Dannie sent up blue steaks, he stated that they were cold to the touch. After Dannie's slow performance on meat, he was annoyed as she was not giving out food.
The blue team lost the service, and both teams were asked to nominate two people from the blue team. During deliberation, Jared claimed that he was a strong contender throughout the competition, before recalling back to the black hair in his mashed potatoes. However, Manda still argued that it was not hers, and felt that he was trying to save his ass. Then, he reminded Manda about her burnt fish and Dannie’s slow-paced performance, but the latter called him a liar, much to his frustration.
Jared was not nominated for elimination, but Ramsay called him to the front, and while the latter recognized his hard work, he asked him for his jacket and received the fourth black jacket, much to his excitement. While being dismissed, he knew that he deserved his spot in the final five, and warned the female chefs to watch out for him.[13]
Episode 14[]
- Main article: Episode 1514 - 5 Chefs Compete
Back at the dorms, Jared admitted to Ashley that he was still in shock over receiving a black jacket, and called her his only support, as she told him she was not about to let him go home.
Before the Animo Venice Charter Portion Challenge, Jared saw his old high school photo, and that caused him to miss it. He decided to make cumin dusted New York striploin with chipotle croquettes, and revealed that he used to grill at his school’s parking lot, before stating that he was very confident. While serving his dishes, he felt like a superstar as more students were at his station. He won the challenge after receiving the most A's, and he deemed himself the big man on campus.
Jared was rewarded with a trip to San Francisco which included a visit to the 49ers’ home stadium Levi’s Stadium, meeting some of the players, walking on the field, dinner at Bourbon Steak & Pub, and decided to bring Kristin with him. During the reward, he felt over the moon about being at Levi’s Stadium, claimed to have heard fans cheering his name, met with Dwight Clark and Guy McIntyre, and they talked about Ramsay in the kitchen, with the stars reminding them that Ramsay was only trying to push them to their best. Later that day, he commented that he was glad to be around somebody other than Manda or Dannie, while Kristin commented on how he seemed closed off due to his friendship with Ashley. He admitted that he wanted to know more about the other women on the black jackets so he could work better with them at services, and even told Kristin that he would nominate Ashley if the time came.
When Jared and Kristin came back from their reward, an angry Ashley declared that he was dead to her, and wanted to know why he picked Kristin over her. He said that he thought Kristin would have enjoyed the reward more than Ashley, but she accused him of being sneaky and was hurt that he did not choose her as they used to be friends. He got dismayed as he knew that Ashley was the only person that he trusted in the competition, and realized that he should have picked her for the reward, before apologizing to her.
During dinner service, Jared was on the fish station. On the first order, he was confident as fish was his thing, but his scallops were raw, despite getting his refire accepted. Then, he was slow on the lobster tail, and it got worse when it was revealed to be cold as well, with Ramsay warning him to get his shit together. Fortunately, his refire was accepted but got confused when Ashley called out an order that was not ready yet, and he commented that she was better than that. Then, he sent up burnt snapper, which forced Ramsay to send out an incomplete table for Randy Couture, and his second attempt was raw, leading Ramsay to order him to wake up before he got his third attempt was accepted. He was the third person to participate as Ramsay's Sous Chef, and he hoped to pull it back as working at the pass was his job back home. He was not seen much during that time. On their final ticket, his char was raw, a dismayed Ramsay called it painful, and he ordered the final five to apologize to Sous Chefs Aaron and Christina for their painful service while he cooked the final ticket himself.
After service, Ramsay asked the final five to nominate one chef for elimination. During deliberation, Jared was considered by Manda for elimination, but he argued that the small errors he made that night were enough for a nomination, only for her to remind him about his raw fishes that night. While he claimed that the next service would be a more successful one with him than Manda, Ashley believed that he was mentally checked out. Then, he argued that he was still upset over the argument last night, but Kristin declared that she could not trust him if he said that.
Jared was the sole nominee but was eventually joined by Manda. During his plea, Ramsay asked him how much the competition meant to him, with him saying that he cared a lot about the competition, and claimed that he flourished from his earlier successes, before refusing to give up. After Manda was eliminated, Ramsay told him that while he knew how much he cared about the competition, he was not as strong as the three women behind him, and was therefore eliminated. Before leaving, Ramsay praised him for his great mind and told him that his time would come. He received a retrospective montage during his exit interview.
Ramsay's comment: "I can't deny Manda's passion nor Jared's commitment, but it was painfully obvious that they just couldn't measure up to my final three." [14]

When Sous Chef Jocky was judging the blue team's dishes, he wondered why he made dumplings from scratch when he had no idea how to. He was the second blue chef to be called up, and presented his pork and smoked halibut dumpling. It was praised for being delicious, Ramsay decided to add his dish into the top four, and he was excited that he pulled it off. He lost the challenge after Van's dish dethroned his.

He was paired up with Benjamin, and they were the second pair from the blue team to compete. As they worked on the oysters, he compared shucking oysters to caressing a woman, and after making some sexual innuendos, he knew that his girlfriend would be mad. They got their first attempt accepted, the blue team won the challenge, and he said that while they sucked at cup stacking, they excelled at what they did best. The blue team was rewarded with a seafood lunch at the Ocean Club in Malibu and got to play soccer with Alyssa Naeher and Julie Johnston. During the reward, he commented that they were out of shape chefs that were not used to playing soccer.
During dinner service, Jared was on the garnish station. At one point, he gave Josh directions on the lamb as he wanted the latter to be the master baster, and Josh was able to get it accepted. The blue team won the service after completing the red team's tickets. After elimination, he was stunned by Ashley’s elimination and felt that the red team would never throw each other under the bus if they supported each other.[18]

During the Chance Challenge, Jared called out mustard during the M round, chard during the C round, and snap peas during the S round. During the cooking, he felt that his dish blurred the line between genius and crazy. He was the fourth person from the blue team to have his dish judged by Ramsay and presented his black cod with roasted cauliflower. Despite being proud of his dish, it was criticized for having the cauliflower tasting better than the cod, and he scored one point. The blue team lost the challenge 25-26, and they were punished by taking in deliveries of potatoes, recycling through garbage, and eating a smelly fish sandwich. During the punishment, he felt that Giovanni and Josh were having the hardest time going through the trash.
During prep, Jared said that he wanted to slit his wrists because of Josh on a good day after learning that the latter worked only 3 hours a day. When the red team came back from their reward, he said that he flew in a private jet twice in Season 15, and called it old news. During dinner service, he was at the meat station with Benjamin. At one point, he annoyingly called Josh's frantic performance to a kid who drank coffee for the first time. Later, he sent up a raw duck, and Ramsay berated him and Benjamin for pouring the hot sauce over it in a failed attempt to cook it more. After the blue team got kicked out of the kitchen, he very disappointingly called that night a mess.
The blue team lost the service, and they were asked to nominate two people for elimination. During deliberation, Jared answers Josh's question that too many portions were worse than not knowing how to cook meat, and called the latter a mess in the kitchen as he knew how to focus on his station. Then. he suggested that they put down two names and move on.
Jared was not nominated for elimination, and he said goodbye to Josh as the latter was moved over to the red team, and welcomed Robyn as a new teammate.[19]
Episode 5[]

Back at the dorms, Jared told Robyn that Ramsay only wanted the best out of her, and offered to push her in the right direction.
Before the Wood Plank Cooking Challenge, Jared said that as an Executive Chef, his main concern was about how much money each animal was going to gross for him. During the cooking, he compared setting the planks to dance as they had to adjust them to fit everybody’s planks. He was paired up with Benjamin on the wahoo, they were the second pair from the blue team to have their dish judged, and went up against the pair of Barbie and Manda. They made hickory smoked wahoo with salsa verde, it was praised for the balance on its acidity, and having a spot-on flavor of the wood. They tied that round with the pair of Barbie and Manda, and he once again compared ties to kissing his sister. When the barramundi round ended up as a tie, he annoyingly asked his sister to come down again. When the score was tied at 3 each, he commented that he was out of sisters. The blue team won the challenge, and they were rewarded with a horseback ride at Apex Ranch. During the reward, he compared himself to John Wayne.
During dinner service, Jared was on the appetizer station. He was not seen that night, and both teams were named joint winners.[20]
Episode 6[]

During the Pizza Fusion Challenge, Jared went up against Elise, their country was South Korea, and he got excited as he made kimchi back at home. After seeing Jennifer and Milly receive Morocco, he said that nothing from that country screamed: “put me on a fucking pizza”. He was the fifth person from the blue team to have his dish judged and presented his shrimp and raw cabbage pizza. It was criticized for its failed attempt of emulating kimchi, and neither he nor Elise scored that round. After Giovanni's pizza was revealed to be burnt at the bottom, he dismayingly called it a rookie mistake. The blue team lost the challenge 2-3, and they were punished by ironing the tablecloths ahead of night’s Italian Night dinner service, and prep the oils and Parmesan cheese for each table. After hearing that, he complained that it was the second time he had to decorate the dining room in the competition, and felt that the red team would do a better job at it than six men and Robyn.
During the Italian Night dinner service, Jared was on the garnish station. After Van and Giovanni sent up raw lamb, he dismayingly thought that the two were the meat All-Stars and that the two of them could not cook a single lamb together. Later, he was overwhelmed as there were a lot of garnishes that were being fired that night, was dragging the blue team because of it, and continued to call out inconsistent timings despite the proteins being ready to go. Then, he called for a medic as he claimed he cut his finger, but Ramsay saw that there was no cut, and told him that he had a bigger cut on the end of his dick before sending him to see the medic. When he came back, he told everybody that he was bandaged up with no stitches needed, but Ramsay told him to grow some. Before the blue team got kicked out of the kitchen, Ramsay called the medic forward and asked him about his cut, but the medic said that he did not see one.
The blue team lost the service and were asked to nominate two people for elimination. During deliberation, Robyn told Jared that he should not have called for a medic as he did not have an injury, but he argued that while he fucked up, others made mistakes as well. Then, he explained how Van and Giovanni sent up raw lamb but was considered for elimination by the two. When Robyn pointed out that garnish sunk the kitchen that night, he argued that he had blood all over his hands even though the former told him that he did not cut himself. However, he argued that he did have blood on his towel, pointed out how Van and Giovanni sent up raw lamb, how Robyn did not drop scallops on time, and that he was getting pummeled like a nerd.
Jared was named the blue team's first nominee for elimination, with Robyn as the second. During his plea, he said that he was a stronger chef than Robyn, and while he admitted that he got lost that night, he felt that he was a very vocal presence in the previous services. However, Ramsay reminded him that the only thing he was vocal about that night was for calling up a medic for a fake cut, despite him arguing that it was there. He was eliminated for his poor performance on garnish, being inconsistent throughout the competition, and lying about an injury.
Ramsay's comment: "Medic? More like, pathetic. While Jared's cut was imaginary, now he knows what it really is like to get cut." [21]

Quotes[]
Season 15[]
- "Gotta stay focused. Boobs or dumpling? Boobs or dumpling? Boobs or dumpling?"
- "Some chefs choose booze. Some chefs choose drugs as their vice. I guess I choose women."
- (After Kevin's ejection) "Kevin just went down. I don't know what the fuck happened. No more mistakes. We can't have a shit service."
- (To Manda) "I don't give a fuck what you're refiring. All you're doing is bitching to me about: I cooked a million eggs. SO FUCKING COOK ANOTHER ONE!"
- "Durian fruit smells like hot garbage. It's fucking foul. Like, it's illegal to open up durian fruit in the city of Singapore, it's illegal."
- (Reacting to his high school photo) "I miss that hair..."
- (To Ashley) "I genuinely thought Kristin would enjoy football more than you would."
- "I want that black jacket like a fat kid wants cake."
- (After being eliminated) From that first moment I came to Hell's Kitchen, I was confident. Right out of the gate, I showed that I'm strong. But I had my fair share of bumps along the way. One of the best things about being on Hell's Kitchen was becoming friends with Ashley. Yeah, we had our fight, but Ashley and I were just genuine friends. It's been a hell of a journey. I may not be the executive chef of BLT Steak, but I'm leaving here with my head held very high."
Season 17[]
- (About Ben‘s sudden elimination) “One of those two bitches should have gone home (Referring To Elise and Manda).”
- "With oysters, you gotta be gentle. You gotta caress them like a beautiful woman. Aw, yeah. Just like that. There's no foreplay with this, you just slide it in there. Come on, baby. Flip it over so that you get that beautiful plumpness on the other side...my girlfriend's gonna be so mad."
- (After Ashley being eliminated) "Ashley is a strong fucking cook. It was supposed to be like season 15, me and Ash in the black jackets. If the red team were better cooks, they would just support each other and not throw each other under the bus."
- (To Josh) “Josh you make me want to fucking slit my own wrists. (Josh: Yeah?) And that’s a good day. (Josh: One down, six to go.)”
- "You know how I feel about ties, it's like kissing your sister. You don't win, you don't lose, it's just fucking awkward."
- ”Great, another tie. Hey sis, come on over!”
- ”Oh my god, this is ridiculous! Another tie. I’m out of sisters.”
- "I'm a little worried about Milly and Jennifer, because nothing from Morocco screams, 'Hey, put me on a fucking pizza'."
- ”Josh is like a little kid that drank too much coffee. He’s just bouncing, bouncing, bouncing, he's making a mess, he doesn't know what the fuck is going on.”
- "I'm just getting pummeled like a fucking nerd in elementary school."
- (After being eliminated) "Chef Ramsay definitely made a mistake by sending me home tonight. It should be Robyn. She's a mess. She didn't really cook shit tonight. I have a legitimate cut. There's blood. There's visible blood. I'm not gonna cut food with fucking blood on my hand. It's not sanitary!"
