Transitions

Transitions can be found in almost every episode of Hell's Kitchen starting from Season 5 when there are cliffhanger scenes. Pitchfork symbols and HK logos appear in each episode. This only applies to censored versions and can be found in TV Networks such as FOX. This does not apply to uncensored versions and therefore continues the dramatic scene (e.g. Ramsay kicking chefs out, him attempting to score the team, chefs arguing). Not all transitions are red and black, but also colorful.

Variants

• Meat cleaver - The chef chops meat using a cleaver revealing a HK logo in the middle. Starting from Season 7, the HK logo is now watermarked on the cleaver. Another variant shows a chef chopping a meat using the said tool, but in a different view. Shaking effects can sometimes be seen in the latter variant.
• Knife sharpener - A chef uses the knife sharpener and knife to sharpen it. The logo appears in the top-right area. A variant without the logo does not appear in several episodes. A second variant has a chef sharpening a knife and sparks appear appearing twice, revealing a pitchfork symbol. A third variant features a chef sharpening a knife, but this time they stop sharpening and the knife reveals an HK logo. For three variants, sharpening sounds can be heard.
• Sharpening wheel - A chef sharpens the meat cleaver using the sharpening wheel. Additionally, a spark that resembles the pitchfork appears. Another variant shows another chef sharpening wheel in a different camera angle, but this time they finishes sharpening the knife.
• Bubbly stove - Some drips land on the stove, revealing a pitchfork symbol. A stretched variant also appears. A high-pitch eerie sound can be heard throughout the transition.
• Oil bottle - A stem that shaped like a pitchfork drops slowly inside the oil bottle with leaves. A stretched variant also appears. Another variant shows a person pouting oil in the bottle, revealing a pitchfork symbol when it bubbles.
• Wine bottle - A pitchfork-shaped stick appears in the wine bottle sinking.
• Cooking oil - A chef puts cooking oil in the frying pan revealing HK flame logo. Another variant has flames revealing a pitchfork symbol. A stretched variant for both pitchfork symbol and HK logo also appears.
• Flaming pan - While a chef cooks food, flames engulf on the pan, revealing an HK logo. A stretched variant also appears. Another variant shows a chef cooking something with a bit smaller flames, revealing a pitchfork symbol.
• Turn on stove - When turning on the stove, an orange flame that shaped like a pitchfork reveals. Another variant has an HK logo engulfed in a blue flame. For both variants, there are stretched variants.
• Turn off Stove - Before turning off the stove, flames shaped like a pitchfork appears. After, it reveals a smoke that shaped like a HK logo.
• Burning ticket - A ticket with an HK logo appears before burning. After, a pitchfork-shaped smoke appears. Another variant only shows up the ticket and it burns slowly.
• Candle smoke - A chef leaves causing the flames to blow and reveals a pitchfork symbol when it smokes. A stretched variant also appears. A distorted-eerie sound is heard in this transition.
• Camera lighting - A camera light flashes and reveals an HK logo.
• Lightbulb - A person turning off a lightbulb revealing the HK logo until it darkens.
• Foggy glass - A pitchfork symbol appears on in the glass while cooking or steaming food.
• Spilled sauce - When a pot falls on the ground, the sauce spills revealing a pitchfork symbol.
• Safety match - A chef light a safety match revealing pitchfork symbol shaped-flame. A Hell's Kitchen logo also appeared in the matchbox.
• Bill holder pin - A person puts a pitchfork-shaped bill holder pin on the receipt. Another variant shows a person putting a receipt in the holder pin gently. A stretched variant also appears.
• Cash register - Two HK logos pop out in the cash register after a person press a button.
• Knife on the table - A chef stabs the table using a knife. A pitchfork symbol was revealed in the knife.
• Axe - Similar to the knife variant, but with an axe that reveals an HK logo.
• Thrown pitchfork - A pitchfork landed on the straw, while an HK logo appears on the wall. Another variant features a red pitchfork getting thrown out of the water.
• Knife spatula - A chef lifting the spatula for the pizza in the brick oven, revealing an HK logo.
• Branding iron - A chef brands a cow or a meat, revealing an HK logo. For the cow variant, a cow moos. There is another cow variant, where it faces in the back and it is a bit far.
• Clothes iron - A person finishes ironing the clothes, revealing the pitchfork symbol when it lays down.
• Mud - A chef steps on the mud revealing a HK logo.
• Slab of meat - A chef puts the meat on the table. An HK logo appears on the meat.
• Tenderized meat - A chef uses a tenderizer to tenderize a meat, revealing an HK logo.
• Beef Wellington - A chef splitting the Wellington in half, revealing an HK logo.
• Bread - A chef splits the bread in half, revealing two HK logos.
• Dried pasta - A chef splits the dried pasts into half revealing two pitchforks symbol.
• Orange slice - A chef slice an orange revealing two HK logos.
• Lemon slice - A chef slice a lemon revealing an HK logo.
• Tomato slice - A chef slicing a tomato revealing an HK logo covered in juice. A stretched variant also appears.
• Potato slice - A chef slicing a potato, revealing an HK logo.
• Eggplant slice - A chef slicing an eggplant revealing an HK logo. A red variant appears as well.
• Chopped meat - An HK logo appears after the chef chops a meat.
• Chopped lamb - A chef slicing a lamb, revealing an HK logo in one of the lambs. A goat's bleating is also heard in this transition. Another variant features a chef chopping another lamb that is hot and the camera is facing center, which also reveals another HK logo in the lamb.
• Chopped geoduck - A chef slicing a geoduck, only for it to hide a bit. An HK logo appears on the chopping board.
• Sliced roast beef - A chef slicing a roast beef revealing an HK logo.
• Sliced hand-rolled sushi - A chef slicing a sushi, revealing an HK logo.
• Sliced cake - A chef slicing a piece of cake, revealing a pitchfork symbol when the chocolate cream slightly flows.
• Messy cream - A chef smashes the cream to the cake, revealing an HK logo after it splatters.
• Whisk - A chef mixes batter using a whisk, revealing an HK logo.
• Meat juice - A pitchfork symbol appears when the meat juice moistens. Another variant has the HK logo appearing in the meat juice. A stretched variant for both pitchfork symbol and HK logo also appears.
• Spilled beer foam - A pitchfork symbol appears while beer foams spill a bit.
• Splattered spaghetti - A chef splattered spaghetti on his/her jacket.
• Stained jacket - A person gets their jacket stained, revealing a pitchfork symbol.
• Melting butter - A chef putting butter on the pan, revealing a pitchfork symbol when it melts.
• Boiling water - An HK logo appears while the water is boiling.
• Steaming pot - An HK logo appears floating while the pot is steaming.
• Popping pot - The lid of the pot pops itself, revealing an HK logo in the steam.
• Cooking scallop - A chef cooks scallop revealing an HK logo. Another variant has four scallops with one of them reveals a HK logo.
• Cooking fish - A chef cooks fish using a spatula. An HK logo appears after flipping the fish. Another variant has the same fish but in a closer view.
• Cooking chicken - An HK logo appears after cooking chicken. Additionally, a chef taps the chicken using cooking tongs. Another variant shows the same chicken with an oil that forms a pitchfork symbol.
• Cooking egg - A pitchfork symbol appears while preparing an egg.
• Cooking sausage - A chef cooks sausage on the pan. A pitchfork symbol appears on the sausage.
• Cooking bacon - A pitchfork appears on the pan while bacons are frying.
• Cooking mushrooms - A chef cooks mushrooms on the pan. An HK logo appears on it.
• Smashing raw fish - Ramsay smashes fish using his hands, revealing a big pitchfork symbol, while many pitchfork symbols are scattered on the tray.
• Smashing egg - A chef smashes an egg, revealing a pitchfork symbol in the yolk.
• Smashing crab - A person smashing a crab using the tenderizer, revealing an HK logo.
• Smashing lobster claw - A chef smashes a lobster using a tenderizer. An HK logo appears on its claw.
• Dimsum - After opening the lid, a chef squishes dimsums using their hands, revealing an HK logo.
• Boiling noodles - A chef putting noodles in the pot, which reveals an HK logo after dipping.
• Boiling potatoes - Three potatoes appear in the pot with one of them, with an HK logo, sinks.
• Baking pizza - A chef uses the spatula to grab the pizza, revealing an HK logo.
• Making crepe - A chef putting batter on the crepe maker, which reveals a HK logo.
• Flipping pancake - A chef flips a pancake using a spatula, revealing an HK logo.
• Pancake maker - A chef opens the pancake maker lid to reveal a pancake with an HK logo.
• Blender - An HK logo appears after blending a smoothie or juice.
• Deep fryer - A chef lifts up the fryer, revealing a pitchfork symbol-shaped fries.
• Hot to handle - A chef tries to grab the handle of the pot, only to get burned, revealing a pitchfork symbol.
• Finish cooking - A chef finishes cooking food. He/she releases the pan on the stove with a pitchfork-shaped smoke appearing after removing the pan.
• Draining liquid - A chef removes liquid after washing the pan, revealing a pitchfork symbol. A zoom in variant appears.
• Tipping salt shaker - A salt bottle tips over and spills some salt, revealing the pitchfork symbol. A red variant appears as well.
• Spilled rice - Similar to the tipping salt, the rice spills revealing a big pitchfork symbol.
• Spilled wine - Similar to the tipping salt and spilling rice, the wine spills on the tablecloth, revealing an HK logo. A second variant shows the spilled wine is in a different view with a pitchfork symbol also appears. A third variant features a spilled wine from the first one, but this time, it was zoomed in and reveals another HK logo.
• Sides - Four chefs grab four sides, with one of them (a yellow powdery side) scatters on the table, revealing a pitchfork symbol.
• Scattered scallops - A plate with scallops falls on the ground revealing an HK logo after spilling.
• Scattered risotto - An HK logo reveals after some risotto is scattered on the table.
• Charcoal grill - A chef flipping a burger patty and reveals a pitchfork symbol that is engulfed in fire.
• Cloche - A waiter opens the cloche, revealing a pitchfork symbol when it moistens.
• Sweat - A chef sweats revealing a pitchfork symbol. Another variant shows a person getting sweaty, revealing another pitchfork symbol near to the eye.
• Oven - A chef turns on the dial to set the timer until it reaches the HK logo, which it blinks while the pitchfork symbol does not move. A "Ding!" sound can be heard after adjusting the knob.
• Weighing scale - A fish drops on the weighing scale until it reveals an HK logo in the digital counter.
• Falling salmon - An HK logo appears after a salmon falls on the board.
• Fish in the aquarium - A fish bubbles and forms a pitchfork symbol.
• Lobster in the aquarium - A lobster dives in the aquarium and bubbles formed a pitchfork symbol.
• Ice - A person breaks an ice revealing an HK logo. The logo is encased in ice.
• Sky - A ptichfork-shaped cloud is seen on the sky and it moves slowly.
• Fountain - A pitchfork-shaped fountain is formed in Las Vegas.
• Spotlight - An HK logo appears in the spotlight after turning it on.
• Balloon - An HK logo appears in the balloon, until it pops too loud when it gets bigger.
• Balloon darts - A person throws the dart on the blue balloon, which causes it to pop and reveals an HK logo on the wall. Children can be heard cheering after throwing the dart on the balloon.
• Craps game dice - Two 12 headed dices landed on the table revealing the HK logo. Another variant has one dice revealing an HK logo, but zoomed in.
• Roulette ball - A ball with an HK logo appears after the roulette stops spinning.
• Slot machine - An HK logo appears in the middle while the other sides are spinning. A "Ding!" sound can be heard in the middle slot.
• Smashed door - A chef smashing the door in anger, revealing an HK logo. Another variant shows a chef slamming a door so hard that the wood breaks and reveals a pitchfork symbol.
• School locker - A student closes the school locker, revealing an HK logo.
• Moon - An HK logo appears while the moon rises. A wolf also howls in this skit. A werewolf howl can be heard in this transition.
• Boxing bell - An HK logo appears on the bell while it "Dings!" twice. Another variant shows the same bell with a different camera view.
• Scattering beads - A person accidentally scattered the beads on the table, forming a pitchfork symbol.
• Hospital monitor - A pitchfork symbol appears twice when it loops until it stops.
• Food thermometer - Ramsay puts a thermometer on the meat. A pitchfork symbol appears while flames engulf a bit.
• Boiler meter - The glass breaks when the meter reaches up to max. The meter is shaped like a pitchfork.
• Flaming wood - A chef uses a match to burn the table revealing a pitchfork symbol.
• Pudding - A chef throws the pudding in the trash revealing the pitchfork symbol underneath the sauce. A red variant exists, but this time, the chef drops the plate on the trash.
• Grilled cheese - A chef opens the griller revealing a grilled cheese with the HK logo.
• Flag - A chef stick a flag on the meat with an HK logo.
• Burger sliders - A chef pins the flag on the pickles. An HK logo appears in the US flag.
• Tiny food - A metal pitchfork symbol appears as on the tiny food as part of a garnish.
• Brick oven - Pitchfork-shaped flames ignite in the brick oven. A zoom in variant also exists.
• Splattering sauce on the wall - A food was thrown on the wall, which reveals a pitchfork symbol in upside-down.
• Road trail - A driver riding a motorcycle drives away from a distance, revealing a pitchfork symbol on the road while smokes emit.
• Llama - A llama turns its head and the pitchfork symbol appears as a video effect.
• Dog grooming - A barber grooms the dog's hair, revealing a pitchfork symbol.
• Book - A book falls down on the floor, revealing a page that shows an HK logo.
• Stamped checklist - A person putting a stamp on the checklist containing the responsibilities of a chef, revealing an HK logo.
• Glitter - An HK logo was revealed after the wind blew all the glitter. An ΦΜ symbol also appears beside the HK logo.
• Piggy Bank - A person smashing a piggy bank using a hammer revealing an HK logo on the pile of coins.
• Garbage - A person throwing two garbages in the truck, revealing two HK logos.
• Octopus - A chef gets rid of the octopus, revealing an HK logo on the grease.
• Demand for food - A person slams a table while the glass shatters, revealing a pitchfork symbol on the plate.
• Valkyrie - A valkyrie sings a loud song, which cracks the glass with an HK logo design, for a bit, revealing a pitchfork symbol, until it shatters.
• Wine drink - After fizzing out the bubbles, they formed into a pitchfork. There's also a second variant where a person pours a wine in the thin wine glass and it reveals another pitchfork symbol. There's also a third variant where the camera is facing the wine in a closer view and reveals an HK logo.
• Champagne - An HK logo appears in the champagne bottle. A foam drops and reveals a pitchfork symbol.
• Mystery food reveal - After a chef opens the cloche, a pitchfork symbol appears on the plate, until it forms into a question mark.
• 5-layer cake - When it zooms out, it reveals a 5-layer cake until it explodes. Before exploding, an HK logo appears on the top of the cake. The pictures on the other layers, besides the top layer feature episodes from the past seasons.
