Jen acknowledged that you did not get rid of the strongest early on because there were still challenges and services. Christina went upstairs crying, but Jen comforted her by saying Corey would not get rid of her. |

Corey revealed that she nominated Christina because she was threatened by her intelligence and thought the latter made her look stupider than she is. Also, Corey nominated Jen because she deemed the latter one of the most annoying people she has met. Corey said she was not here to make friends, which Ben acknowledged. In the red bedroom, Rosann acknowledged that Corey was trying to play the game. Still, an angry Christina knew Corey was threatened by her intelligence, which she should. Christina accused Corey of throwing her under the bus. Still, Corey did not care if the women hated her because it would make her stronger. |

+ | The following day, the contestants were awakened by chickens running around in the dorms. Calling from the P.A., Ramsay told them to get up, grab a chicken, and come down to the dining room. While trying to catch a chicken, Jason was still trying to wake up, while Bobby declared he had never done that before in his entire life. When they came down in the dining room, Ramsay said he wanted all of them to get up close and personal with their products. Then, Sous Chef Gloria brought a live chicken to Ramsay, and Sous Chef Scott handed him a clever. That made the contestants believe they would have to kill their live chickens. Corey dreaded the thought of doing so as there would be blood splattered all over her. Ramsay put the clever on his chicken's head, started his movement, but planted the knife beside its head, declaring they would not kill live animals. Vanessa felt relieved that they did not have to kill live chickens. After telling the contestants that they take their products for granted, Ramsay asked them to put their chickens in the pens, get changed, and get in the red kitchen. As the chefs did so, Matt believed the men had the advantage over the women due to their animosity. |

+ | In the red kitchen, dead chickens hung on racks, and Ramsay introduced the Chicken Cutting Challenge. The goal was to make the contestants respect their products. After a demonstration on properly cutting the chicken into eight pieces, Ramsay gave the contestants five minutes to cut their chicken. To even the teams, Louross was forced to sit out. When the challenge began, Jason boasted that the men would win because they were men, and it was not a dust and housekeeping challenge. Three minutes left, Vanessa accused Corey of disrupting the solidarity of the women. She knew they could not afford to lose and disappoint Ramsay. With one minute left, most of the men finished, but Craig was still going. Matt said Craig was slow as molasses and made him feel like the million-dollar man going for a jog. On the other side, Shayna was as slow as Craig and told herself to concentrate and that she could do it. Eventually, time was up. |

+ | Jen was the first woman to get her cuts judged by Ramsay and declared she would prove to Ramsay she deserved to stay. Jen got a score of 6 out of 8 as her drums were cut too high. Shayna also scored the same as one of her breasts was gashed. Seeing that caused Jason to say it was not a wild game bird. Vanessa, Rosann, Christina, and Corey all finished with perfect 8's, making the final score of 44 for the red team. Despite acknowledging that Corey did well, Christina still called her spiteful and vindictive. For the men, Jason was a little surprised that the women did well. However, Jason believed the men would still win because butchering was in their blood. However, two of the portions were messed up, leaving Ramsay stunned. Jason finished with 6 out of 8 pieces. Afterwards, Vanessa hoped the men would screw up because the women needed the win. The following two, Petrozza and Ben, managed a perfect score each, making the men's total at 22. When it was Craig's turn, he got the wings accepted and claimed he wanted to win. However, the rest of the pieces were butchered poorly, leading Ramsay to question Craig's experience as a chef. That disappointed Craig. With the score 44-24 for the women and only two men to go for the men, it became impossible to catch up, so the women automatically won the challenge. Ramsay asked Craig what he was doing as he was responsible for the men's loss. |

During the reward, they accidentally jumped into Aaron, a former contestant from Season 3 and a regular at that restaurant, who was riding the rodeo. That encounter surprised everybody, including Ramsay, who was in disbelief. Both of them hugged, and Ramsay mimicked his crying on Season 3's opening night. Aaron said there was nothing to cry about now, and that surprised Ramsay. After wishing everybody a good day and leaving, Vanessa said it was nice to meet Aaron, as he was a big teddy bear. After that, the women went on to ride the rodeo. During lunch, Christina and Rossan revealed the team's plan to eliminate the men one by one by manipulating them. Corey knew that the men would be attracted to her body and started to flirt with Ben. Ben refused, saying that Corey placed a bad taste in his mouth for using her body against him. However, Jason, who was looking at them, fell into their trap. Christina helped Jason take off his clothes, and he jumped in the hot tub with the women. They gave Jason some food and beer and asked him what was going on with the men. Jason answered that most of his teammates were mad at Craig for messing up during the challenge. Also, Jason said he did not like the way Ben ran his mouth. Ben was furious at Jason as he felt the latter ratted out the team. |

Christina said she would get rid of Corey the next opportunity she would get as she did not like her. The pressure was shifted from Jason to Craig in the blue kitchen as Bobby was annoyed by the latter's lack of knowledge of the appetizer station. Booby accused Craig of being a broken compass, and Jen overheard the arguing from the red kitchen. That made Jen confident going into service as the women's problems were not as bad as the men's. |

Because the men lost the challenge, Bobby would be cooking tableside. Jean-Philippe would be cooking for the women. Still, Bobby was not worried about cooking tableside as he was more concerned about his teammates cooking in the kitchen without him. Ramsay dedicated Jason to the dessert station and jokingly told him not to eat any. When Ramsay asked him what the desserts were, Jason failed to answer correctly. So, Ramsay ejected Jason to the dorms and told him to read the menu. After that, Ramsay asked Jean-Philippe to open Hell's Kitchen. |

+ | Jean-Philippe was slower than usual to bring the first ticket to Ramsay. When Ramsay called the first ticket in the red kitchen, Christina quickly took control of her team. Christina was happy to lead on appetizers but was nervous as it was only the third service she saw the risottos. Craig had communication problems with Petrozza and Ben in the blue kitchen, and Matt asked how much time it would take him to make his first risotto. Annoyed by the constant questions, Craig revealed that he said 2 minutes 30 seconds ago, and they had to do the math. When Ramsay asked Craig how long, he schooled the latter on his behavior and told him to communicate while working. That led Matt to compare Craig to Edith from All In The Family due to the latter's mumbling. Craig did not appreciate that, and it led to a small snipe at Matt. Rosann brought her first Caesar salads to the pass in the red kitchen, but they contained crab garnish when it was not needed. Ramsay schooled Rosann for that mistake, telling her she was not stupid and had to use her balls. Rosann found it hard to take that tone of voice, while Ramsay compared the women to the return of the Bitches from Hell. While Jason was still studying the menu in the dorms, Petrozza brought his first appetizers to the pass, and they were deemed beautiful by Ramsay. Petrozza enjoyed that compliment and said it meant as much to him as a win. When Ben asked Craig for the bacon, the latter said he did not have it yet. That led Ben to call Craig an idiot and that he could not work his station despite working in the industry for thirteen years. With Craig's bacon a minute and a half away from finishing, Ramsay made a painful decision and sent out an incomplete order. A pissed Ramsay asked Craig if he was happy about feeding half a table, but the latter said he was not. |

Back on the patio, Louross went to get Jason back, but the latter was about to give up as he did not like the way Ramsay was putting him in the spot like that. However, Louross convinced Jason to get down anyway and do it, which the latter did. When Jason entered the kitchen, Ramsay pulled him aside to make him recite the desserts. Jason struggled a little bit and even wanted to give up as he was at his breaking point. Ramsay asked all the men to come around him and asked Jason if he would like to go home, which the latter answered that he did and that he was done. However, Ramsay encouraged Jason, and the latter successfully recited the desserts before getting on his station. That made Jason realize that Ramsay did not want him to quit and was not done with the ass whooping. When Craig finally delivered bacon to the pass, Ramsay sent the rest of the table out. Vanessa brought her first entrée of meat to the pass in the red kitchen, but it turned out raw. Vanessa became very emotional and was ashamed of her performance. Afterwards, Ramsay asked everybody to get to the meat station. Still, Vanessa was in a bad mood as she never made a mistake in her fifteen-year experience. |
+ | In the blue kitchen, the men were ready to move on to entrées, as well as Bobby's chicken tableside special. When Ramsay called seven minutes to the window, Bobby understood and went to his station, starting to cook his chicken. However, Matt failed to communicate with Louross, so Ramsay asked them to. After that, Louross told Matt how to communicate with him properly. When Matt did, Louross thanked him. When Ben was bringing his salmon to the pass, Sous Chef Scott saw it was burnt. That led an annoyed Sous Chef Scott to ask why Ben would bring up a burnt salmon if he knew it was poor. Still, Ben thought it was only a little burnt and not a big deal. After, Ramsay schooled Ben also and asked him if he could cook a salmon. Ben said that he could but started to give excuses, stating he was used to different cooking techniques than the ones he was using at the moment. Still, Ramsay told Ben to send him a medium salmon and chided the latter's excuse. Knowing that entrées might not come out, Bobby took matters into his own hands. He suggested cutting the chicken into six pieces and serving them to each customer on small plates. The customers agreed with that idea, which Bobby executed. While Jean-Philippe stared in disbelief over Bobby's decision, the customers were satisfied by the small portions. Meanwhile, one of the women's tables had S.O.S. written on it, using bread. |

⚫ | A minor fire erupted on the meat station in the red kitchen, with Rosann and Corey trying to blow it out. Ramsay came to the station, told everybody to stand back, and took the meat off the fire while throwing the pan in the sink. A furious Ramsay called it embarrassing as he showed Rosann the charred meat. Rosann felt anxious and hoped it would never happen again. Jason started to prepare his first desserts in the blue kitchen but did not know what he was doing, stating that women could make desserts. Louross helped him by telling him that his crème brulées were ready, which Jason did not believe. When he took his soufflés out of the convection oven, Jason said they looked like muffins stuck in a cup. When Ramsay asked him what was happening with the desserts, Jason told him about the problem. Jason suggested rubbing some sugar around the rim, mixed with butter and cocoa powder when asked what to do. When he heard that suggestion, Ramsay was so discouraged that he went to the hot plate and banged his head on the counter a few times. Moments later, Ben brought raw salmon to the hot plate, infuriating Ramsay, who made the entire team taste it. However, Ben made a nonchalant comment about it. That was the final straw for Ramsay, and he told the men to join the women in their kitchen to have a quick talk. Ramsay said they went backwards, accused Vanessa was all over the place, called Jason hopeless, and said Ben did not care. When Ramsay asked Ben for the excuse he gave him, which was different techniques, he angrily threw all the remaining tickets towards the latter. Refusing to continue service any longer, Ramsay declared both teams losers. Still, Ramsay told Christina that her efforts on appetizers were good and said Petrozza had a clear mind and good focus on his appetizers. Both were named "Best of the Worst" for their respective teams, and Ramsay asked them to nominate one teammate for elimination. Before leaving, Bobby waved hands at his customers and was chewed by Ramsay for it, who angrily told him to get out as there was nothing to wave about. |

Vanessa was very emotional and ashamed of her performance as it was her livelihood. Christina tried to comfort Vanessa, but the latter still felt ashamed, saying this was the only thing she knew how to do and did not know if she knew how to do it any longer. |

⚫ | Later, Christina talked with Petrozza over her nomination choice. She knew everyone expected her to nominate Corey out of revenge and realized that people who were not committed to the team did not deserve a chance. After Petrozza called Corey evil, Christina declared she was not the last dumb blonde left. On his side, Petrozza considered Craig, but he also said that if Jason were not around, the men would have performed better. Jason felt he would be nominated but said he would fight for it if it happened instead of putting his head down like some bitch. Corey also thought she could be nominated because Christina held a grudge against her. Before going downstairs, Christina told the men to see her choice after Matt asked if Corey was her nominee. |

+ | Before asking for the nominations, Ramsay asked if anybody was hungry for the competition or if they should all quit now. Ramsay thought everyone forgot the purpose of why they came as he never employed a chef on a $250,000 salary. Afterwards, Petrozza named Jason as his nominee, and Christina nominated Vanessa. During their pleas, Jason said he still had a lot to prove and was trying to break out of his nerves. Despite acknowledging his poor performance on desserts, Jason said he helped the men in a fast way. Still, Ramsay compared Jason to a tortoise giving birth. Then, Vanessa cried in shame and apologized that she disappointed Ramsay. An unmoved Ramsay told Vanessa that talking to her in service was comparable to a refrigeration unit as she was stone cold. Ramsay said that both performed poorly, and it was a tough decision. Ultimately, Ramsay gave Vanessa one more chance before eliminating Jason for giving up before service and failing to bounce back on desserts. During his exit interview, Jason believed that Vanessa survived due to her crying fits. Still, he refused to cry as he was a man and planned on getting drunk. |

+ | After Jason left, Ramsay told Vanessa that if that cooking was her life, she should wake up fast as time was not her friend. Then, Ramsay said that the streak of poor services must stop. While being dismissed, Vanessa knew she had a lot to prove as she had to take the second chance hard. Then, Christina explained that she did not put Corey up because she had to keep her friends close and enemies closer to win. |

The third episode of Season 4 of Hell's Kitchen aired on Fox on April 15, 2008. On that episode happened a scary awakening, a sweaty punishment, and a satisfying elimination of the most hated chef of the season at that moment.

The following day, the contestants were awakened by chickens running around in the dorms. Calling from the P.A., Ramsay told them to get up, grab a chicken, and come down to the dining room. While trying to catch a chicken, Jason was still trying to wake up, while Bobby declared he had never done that before in his entire life. In the blue kitchen, the men were ready to move on to entrées, as well as Bobby's chicken tableside special.
A minor fire erupted on the meat station in the red kitchen, with Rosann and Corey trying to blow it out.
Post-mortem
During deliberation, Jen called it another disappointment and had a loss of words over Ramsay's anger. She even felt none of them was worthy of winning the competition. Vanessa was very emotional and ashamed of her performance as it was her livelihood. Christina tried to comfort Vanessa, but the latter still felt ashamed, saying this was the only thing she knew how to do and did not know if she knew how to do it any longer.
Later, Christina talked with Petrozza over her nomination choice.
Elimination
Before asking for the nominations, Ramsay asked if anybody was hungry for the competition or if they should all quit now.
After Jason left, Ramsay told Vanessa that if that cooking was her life, she should wake up fast as time was not her friend. Then, Ramsay said that the streak of poor services must stop. While being dismissed, Vanessa knew she had a lot to prove as she had to take the second chance hard. Then, Christina explained that she did not put Corey up because she had to keep her friends close and enemies closer to win.
Ramsay's comment: "I kept waiting for Jason to show me some energy, to wake up, but he never did. And that's why I'm putting him to sleep."
