Known as the Creative Slider Challenge, Ramsay asked both teams to make five plates of sliders that contained seafood, lamb, poultry, beef, and pork. Then, both teams had 40 minutes to collect ingredients from a bouncy ball pit and cook their dishes. Adam Fleishman, Sang Yoo, and Season 10 winner Christina were invited as guest judges. Paulie beat Matt on the seafood round, while Heather beat Shaina on the beef round. Heidi won the poultry round over Devin, but both Wendy and Kimberly tied on the pork round. Lastly, Ryan beat Andrew on the lamb round, ending it on a three-point tie. However, the red team won as Heidi’s dish was deemed the best of the day as part of the tiebreaker. The red team spent the day at the Playboy Mansion, while the blue team cleaned the LA River.[1]
Season 19[]
Episode 10 had it when there were 8 chefs left, 4 on both teams. Known as the Five Protein Burger Challenge, both teams were tasked in cooking five burgers that contained chicken, salmon, turkey, beef, and lamb. Both teams had ninety seconds to collect ingredient cards and place them on their respective dishes. Then, they had 35 minutes to cook their burgers, with each team responsible for a collective burger. Laurent Tourondel was invited as a guest judge. Jordan beat Declan on the chicken round, while the red team’s salmon burger beat out Marc’s. However, Cody beat Nikki on the turkey round, and Amber beat Kori on the beef round. Lastly, Mary Lou’s lamb burger beat out the blue team’s burger, and they won the challenge 3-2. The red team went to Dig This while the blue team prepped 500 pounds of potatoes and drank an all-burger milkshake from the challenge dishes.[2]
Season 21[]
Episode 4 had it when there were 15 chefs left, eight on the red team and seven on the blue team. Known as the Creative Slider Challenge, Ramsay asked both teams to make plates of sliders that contained chicken, salmon, lamb, and beef. For the first part of the challenge, both teams had to slide down a water pool and grab ingredients for their dishes. The red team finished first and received a five-minute head start, giving them thirty-five minutes of cooking while the blue team had thirty. Two chefs from each team cooked a protein together, but Brett cooked the beef sliders alone due to the men having one less person. After the cooking, Ramsay asked both teams to name a representative for each protein. The red team nominated Alyssa, Dafne, Tara, and Nicole while the blue team nominated Alejandro, Abe, Vlad, and Brett. David Myers came in as a guest judge. Alyssa scored a perfect six over Alejandro's four on the chicken round, while Abe scored a five over Dafne's four. Both Tara and Vlad tied at two each, but the blue team won 16-14 after Brett's five beat Nicole's two. The blue team spent the day at Sunny Palm Springs while the red team prepped potatoes for sliders.[3]
Season 23[]
Episode 5 had it when there were 13 chefs left, seven on the red team and six on the blue team. Known as the Seven Protein Burger Challenge, both teams were tasked in cooking seven burgers that contained dry aged beef, lamb, pork, chicken, venison, short rib, and bison. Both teams had ninety seconds to collect ingredient tickets and place them on their respective dishes. Then, they had thirty-five minutes to cook their burgers. Kyle cooked the dry aged beef and lamb burgers alone due to the men having one less person. George Motz was invited as a guest judge. Magali and Egypt tied on the venison round, while Brandon beat Ann Marie on the bison round. Meghan beat Lulu on the chicken round. Neither Brittany and Kyle scored a point on the dry aged beef round. Anthony beat Amanda on the pork round, but Hannah beat Joe on the short rib round. Lastly, Whit's lamb burger beat out Kyle's burger on three-point tie, and the red team won the challenge 4-3. The red team spent the day bowling at Foxwoods High Rollers Luxury Lanes while the blue team handmade and prepped patties for sliders as special appetizer for dinner service.[4]
