When he entered the Hell's Kitchen bus, Anthony declared he was super excited to see Hell's Kitchen, but was annoyed about the bus just rolling in circles around the airport parking. Then, Ramsay surprisingly told the chefs to meet him in Las Vegas. Arrived there, they were greeted by showgirls which excited him, got on a double-decker bus for a tour of the city, and eventually got tricked in believing they would go on a Las Vegas 4D experience. However, they arrived in front of a live audience, where Ramsay was waiting for them.
During the Signature Dish Challenge, Anthony was the eighth person from the blue team to have his dish judged by Ramsay, and went up against Jessica. He served a New Orleans barbecue scallops po' boy, but Ramsay was not impressed, and when he flipped the little bowl of pasta over, the pasta stayed together, and he said it was fucking difficult to do. After tasting it, Ramsay declared the dish fucking disgusting, while adding that he just embarrassed New Orleans cuisine. He lost the round to Jessica.
The blue team lost the challenge 4-5, and they were punished with an eight-hour school bus ride from Las Vegas to Hell's Kitchen, in the desert, without air conditioning. During the punishment, Anthony stated that a punishment like that could not happen again, and was annoyed by Sebastian's constant talking, even saying that the latter became one of the worst things about the punishment. When they arrived in Hell's Kitchen, he got amazed by the red team having time to party, seeing a Celine Dion concert, and arrive before them, which he found unfair.
The next day, during prep, the men were really focused and working as a team, and Anthony tried to help Jeremy, who was lost and confused, by giving him clear instructions.[1] During dinner service, he was at the dessert station. On the first ticket, when the blue team did not respond to Ramsay's call, he was annoyed saying that the correct response was "Yes Chef". When Sebastian got kicked out, he sarcastically said that was unexpected, before wondering where Sebastian was going when he tried to come back in the kitchen, while asking God if he was kidding. After Michael and Barret were kicked out, he was dedicated to the meat station with Ray. His first attempt at the lamb was accepted, and moments later, he expressed annoyance when Jeremy was not able to repeat an order three times, stating that even birds could do it. After, he called Ray stupid for tasting a risotto with his fingers in front of Ramsay, and then, he asked Zach if he was okay as both of them were the only members of the blue team remaining in the kitchen. Seconds later, he brought his risotto to the pass, but it was rejected, and he became the eighth person from the blue team to be kicked out of the kitchen. The blue team lost the service, and they were asked to nominate two people.
He was not nominated for elimination.[2]

The next morning, some soldiers from the US army came in Hell's Kitchen, went to the dorms, and gave a very brutal wake-up call to the chefs by screaming and yelling to get up. When the teams were challenged to climb up the wall, during the last minute, Anthony landed very awkwardly and sprained his ankle, with Dan telling him to be careful, but he was determined to finish the challenge despite having a possible injury as he did not want to lose, which he did in excruciating pain. When the time was over, he was seen suffering because of his ankle. The blue team managed to get 37 lobsters in their bucket, compared to the red team's 31 but did not win anything as that was only the first part of the challenge.
Arrived inside, Anthony was struggling to walk on both legs and was carried by Michael and Jon. He clearly described how his injury happened, and back in the bedroom, he started praying, while being emotional. Then, a medic came over and revealed he may have to go to the hospital to get x-rays, but he was determined to not be taken down, while being very scared. While everybody was changing, he was still lying in bed, suffering. Then, he asked Dan to give him his chefs jacket, got changed, and got down in the kitchen with his team, while saying the blue team could not go three losses in a row. He added that he could still cook despite having only one leg. While going into the kitchen, he was carried by Michael and Jeremy. When both teams were lined up, Ramsay asked him if he was okay, which he answered that he was feeling good, but his ankle was very swollen, much to Ramsay's praise, who told him he was admiring his dedication.
During the Lobster Cleaning Challenge, Anthony was paired with Barret. Because of his injury, he let Barret carry most of the things. Together, they scored the first point for the blue team, and near the end, they scored another one. However, the blue team lost the challenge 8-11, and they were punished by taking a delivery of thousands of pounds of halibut and branzino, prepping them for the next service, and eating fish head soup for lunch.
During dinner service, Anthony was on the appetizer station with Zach. Before tickets entered, Ramsay expressed concern about his ankle, but he reassured Ramsay by saying he would do it and that it would be all right. At one point, he asked Christian for an order of scallops urgently, and wondered what he was doing after serving rubbery scallops. The blue team was eventually kicked out of the kitchen after a lot of mistakes.
Both teams were named joint-losers, and they were asked to nominate two people each for elimination. During deliberation, Anthony was singled out by Jon, who told he was faster than Jeremy despite having only one foot.
He was not nominated for elimination.[3]

The next morning, all the chefs went outside for the next challenge, and saw Ramsay, dressed in a running suit, and a lot of runners waiting in front of a start/finish line. Anthony declared that he was ready to run three miles to save the fat kids, and then, Ramsay introduced the HK3K Service Challenge. When Ramsay asked for a volunteer from each team to run the course, only him and Jeremy did not volunteer. During the challenge, he was not seen much, except at one point when he asked Jeremy for a time on smoothies.
The blue team lost the challenge, and they were punished by cleaning the HK3K course, including erasing the paint, breaking down the checkpoints, picking the trash, and finally, prepping both kitchens ahead of the next service. During the punishment, Anthony was disappointed as he did not get the chance to go on a private jet, and instead had to clean trashes, declaring it sucked.
During dinner service, Anthony was on the fish station with Jon. At one point, he was dismayed about Ray's risotto being returned as he acknowledged that was what the blue team was doing constantly. Later, he declared that either Michael or Dan would get punched when both of them were taken to the pantry room. The blue team eventually won the service for finally showing some progress.[4]

Back in the dorms, the men celebrated their win with champagne glasses, and Anthony stated that it was the spark they needed and that it was a new beginning for the blue team.
The next morning, both teams went downstairs to the dining room, where Ramsay was waiting for them in front of a large counter of different proteins, which impressed Anthony, who even stated that it was making him hungry. During the Protein Identification Challenge, he was paired with Ray, and they were the fourth pair to compete for the blue team. They landed on the veal chop, and he declared that with eight and a half minutes already gone, they had to nail their dish. They succeeded to get the right protein on their first attempt. During Jessica and Nedra's turn, he hoped that something catastrophic would happen to the red team as the blue team has not won a challenge yet. During Ja'Nel and Jacqueline's last turn, he wished that only red lights would come out. However, the blue team lost the challenge 10:33-6:37, and they were punished by taking deliveries of wheat flour, grinding it and making bread from scratch.
During breakfast service, Anthony was on the omelet station. On the first ticket, he called thirty seconds, and when Jeremy was lost and did not hear the order, he compared him to his old self when he was nominated on the opening night. He repeated that he needed thirty seconds on his omelet, but Jeremy asked how much time he needed. When the latter started to walk with his croissant, he repeated thirty seconds once more, but Jeremy still asked for a time. Moments later, he ordered Jeremy to walk. Near the end, he took vocal leadership for the blue team, dishes continued to be sent to the dining room, and later, he was amazed that the blue team could win, which they did after serving all their tickets before the red team. The men celebrated by hugging each other.[5]
Episode 6[]
- Main article: Episode 1106 - 16 Chefs Compete Part 2
When both teams were lined up before dinner service and waiters came in the kitchen to explain frustrating situations that happened to them, Anthony felt terrible as he never been a waiter before, and acknowledged that it could ruin somebody's life if you were a bad cook.
During dinner service, Anthony was on the meat station. When Barret was struggling to send his first ticket to the kitchen, he expressed annoyance and said that the whole team was riding on his shoulders. He was not seen cooking very much, but all of his Wellingtons and pork were cooked perfectly, despite not being served to the dining room because of mistakes from Ray and Dan.
After a lot of mistakes, the blue team was kicked out of the kitchen, and when that happened, Anthony was very frustrated as he was performing great up to that point. Both teams were named joint-losers, and they were asked to nominate two people each.
He was not nominated for elimination.[6]

The next day, both teams went to the dining room, where Ramsay introduced the Chinese Dish Creation Challenge, along with the Samurai statue that was placed there. When the countdown began, everybody ran to the plate of fortune cookies that was in front of the statue, but when they arrived, it started moving, making everybody flinch and laugh. Then, Sous Chef James brought the blue team's basket of giant fortune cookies that would be carried with chopsticks, and during the first part, Anthony was not seen much. During the second part, he was in charge of the chow mein course, but he revealed to Jon that he did not know how to do it. So, Jon taught him how, he declared that he did not know what to do with his ingredients, and even after Jon taught him how to cook it, he was still struggling. When everybody started plating, he was convinced that they would lose again as he called his dish catastrophically terrible.
When Martin Yan was introduced as a guest judge, Anthony was absolutely dismayed as he did something he never cooked before for a world-renowned Oriental cuisine chef. When Dan lost his round, he suggested that Dan should return to Asia for another year, and moments later, he was the last person from the blue team to have his dish judged. He presented his wheat and rice noodle chow mein with daikon radish and ginger, which was deemed interesting by Yan, the texture was praised as well, much to his disbelief, and he won the round over Susan, much to his excitement. The blue team won the challenge 4-3, they were rewarded with a paintball activity, and during the reward, he and his teammates decided to target Dan.
When Rex Lee was revealed as the VIP guest at the chef's table, Anthony acknowledged that he was the crème de la crème. During dinner service, he was on the appetizer station with Jon. He was not seen much, but he succeeded to serve appetizers to the dining room at a good pace. Both teams were named joint-losers, and they were asked to nominate their two weakest chefs each. During deliberation, he considered Ray for his poor tableside work and reminded that Ramsay asked for the two weakest chefs on the blue team, before considering Dan, much to the latter's confusion.
Anthony was not nominated for elimination, and while being dismissed, he was disappointed that Dan was still there as he knew it would be hard to live with him from that moment on.[7]
Episode 8[]
- Main article: Episode 1108 - 14 Chefs Compete
The next morning, both teams went to the dining room, and they were taken outside by Ramsay, who introduced the Farm Animal Challenge. During the first part of the challenge, Anthony was not seen herding an animal, and during the second part, he was the second person from the blue team to have his dish judged. His seared duck with Jasmine rice was criticized for being a little bit too crispy on the inside, and he lost the round to Susan.
The blue team lost the challenge 2-3, and they were punished by putting together a petting zoo, and making sure that the animals would be comfortable, for the next service. When he learned the red team's reward, Anthony was very envious, and during the punishment, he was in disbelief about the animals having menus.
During the Family Night dinner service, Anthony was on the fish station. He was not seen much, but on the first ticket, he was communicating well with Dan and Zach, and later, he wondered how a cold burger could happen after Ray served one. After that, he acknowledged that Barret needed to pull through because the blue team only won one challenge and one service, and moments later, his halibut and sea bass were accepted. After a lot of mistakes, the blue team received help from the red team, and the service was completed. The blue team lost the service by a mile, and they were asked to nominate their two weakest chefs.
He was not nominated for elimination.[8]
Episode 9[]
- Main article: Episode 1109 - 13 Chefs Compete
The next morning, both teams went to the dining room, where Ramsay introduced the Steak Creation Challenge, and during the challenge, Anthony revealed that he would work with bananas and citrus for his rib cap, which Michael found interesting by nodding his head, and that he never worked with bananas like that before, while praying God that it would work. He was the fourth person from the blue team to have his dish judged, served his rib cap with shallots, garlic, and bananas, which was praised for actually working, and he tied the round with Jacqueline.
The blue team lost the challenge 3-4, which Anthony was extremely disappointed about, and they were punished by taking a delivery of a giant cut of beef and prepping it for the next service. During the punishment, he wished the women to enjoy their rooftop as he would fall off, and later, he declared that the only thing the men did with the cut of beef was staring at it, knowing that the meat was coming from somewhere. During the prep break, he declared that he was tired of losing, and blamed Barret, Michael, and Ray for their challenge loss.
During the Steak Night dinner service, Anthony was on the appetizer station. When Barret fried crab cakes that were not ordered, he was dismayed because the latter forgot very quickly, told Ramsay that Barret misunderstood, and mocked him for not being there. Then, he sent his four cocktails, which were accepted, and because of his leadership, appetizers were being served at a decent pace. Later, he expressed dismay over the meat station holding the blue team back, and when the blue team won the service, he was satisfied that they would not have to eliminate somebody despite not having a perfect service.[9]
Episode 10[]

The next day, Anthony saw Zach's picture and explained about his hair swapping places. During the Quinceañera Planning Challenge, he got confused over Brianna saying she did not like spicy food and asked where she grew up. He cooked the chicken dish, was the fourth person from the blue team to have his dish judged, and went up against Mary. He made a grilled chicken with refried pinto beans, and while it was praised for the tender chicken, it was criticized for not really having a lot of flavors, although he arrogantly asked Brianna what she knew about chicken flavors. He lost that round to Mary, and the blue team lost the challenge 2-3. They were punished with decorating the dining room for the Quinceañera under Josette’s instructions. During the punishment, he asked the returning red team to help them with wrapping candy, only to be rejected. When Ray asked when the punishment would end, he snarkily said when they died.
During the Quinceañera dinner service, Anthony was on the appetizer station with Jon. Their strong teamwork got appetizers out at a strong pace, and after completing their orders, they then congratulated each other with Jon telling him that he loved him. As the men began entrées, Ramsay ordered them to get it ready in six minutes, and he blamed the women’s mistakes making the former pissed, before knowing that any more mistakes would multiply that anger by 10. After Barret served overcooked kebabs with a burnt splinter, he ordered him to get it together. Both teams were named joint losers, and they were asked to nominate two each.
He was not nominated for elimination.[10]
Episode 11[]
- Main article: Episode 1111 - 10 Chefs Compete
Continuing from the previous episode, Ramsay asked the blue team what they would rank Zach's performance, and he said a 2.
During the Presentation Challenge, Anthony was called forward for the blue team to collect their ingredients in the vacuum air chamber. Despite hoping to do well but unfortunately while collecting the tickets, his glasses fell off which Jon questioned if he could even see. He cooked the halibut, he was one of the three chefs from the blue team to make it into the second round, and was the second person from the blue team to have his dish judged. He made a pan-seared halibut crusted with coriander and black peppercorn, and while it was deemed good, it was not great. So, he scored 82 in total, and he complained how much that sucked.
The blue team lost the challenge 257-269, and they were punished with cleaning the dorms. During the punishment, Anthony and Ray agreed that the cookie crumbs belonged to Nedra, and later, Sous Chef James called the dorms and told him to have Jon and Zach send the women champagne per Ramsay’s orders. When the women came back from their reward, he complimented their makeover.
During prep, Anthony got pissed when Zach was not talking as there was no reason to drag ass by now. During the Private dinner service, he led the Loup de Mer, and got his course out with no problems. After Ray got his third attempt on the lobster linguine out, he sarcastically noticed it two-course late. Both teams were named joint losers, and they were asked to nominate two each. During deliberation, he said it should have been a walk in the park that night, but they messed up again and called it hard to pick one chef.
Anthony was not nominated for elimination, and while being dismissed, he was sad to see Ray go but knew it was a step in the right direction for the blue team.[11]
Episode 12[]
- Main article: Episode 1112 - 9 Chefs Compete
Back at the dorms, Anthony wanted the men in black jackets. The next day, at 4:50 AM, the chefs were sound asleep as Sous Chefs Andi and James came into the dorms and woke them up with air horns and pots. While that startled him and Nedra, the chefs were ordered to head downstairs, and Ramsay announced that both teams would create their own menus for that night’s service.
During prep, Anthony felt Zach was being cocky, overconfident, and egotistical, and felt that the latter was no doing what he was supposed to do very well. When the blue team got their dishes ready for Ramsay's review, he wanted this to be an opportunity to show Ramsay that they were not perpetual losers. During dinner service, he was on the garnish station. He believed that it was the blue team’s service, but when Sous Chef James noticed that Zach's filet had no sauce, he got annoyed as Zach did not tell him the dish needed sauce. However, Zach accused him of not knowing what he was doing as he felt he was not paying attention, and then, Ramsay found the sauce to be cold, dismaying Jon as they had a strong start earlier. While Zach continued to blame him for wrecking his dish up for a cold sauce, Michael decided to jump in and helped by giving him a pan, and their refire was accepted. When Zach said he needed two minutes on the filet, he was dismayed as Zach was supposed to be ready.
The blue team lost the service, and they were asked to nominate one person for elimination. During deliberation, Michael accused Anthony of shitting the bed on the cold sauce, but while he argued that it was the first station he was on where something went wrong, Jon reminded him hat he was not talking to them, which he agreed with. After the votes were counted, he voted for Zach but was dismayed at a tie. Zach called him a piece of shit as he helped him more that night, but he argued there were only four people left in the blue team, and it was hard to cut people now as the men walked downstairs with no agreement on who was going home.
Anthony was not nominated for elimination but admitted to Ramsay that they were split on their votes, frustrating the latter as he gave them a serious order. When asked who the weakest blue chef, he said Zach. When Zach claimed that three of their dishes were his, he retorted that they all placed ideas on the menu.[12]
Episode 13[]
- Main article: Episode 1113 - 8 Chefs Compete
After Michael's elimination, Anthony welcomed Nedra as a new teammate but felt the red team deliberately sent her over to them if they could not eliminate her properly.
During the International Cuisine Challenge, Anthony went up against Cyndi, and they landed on Greece, with their ingredients being Kalamata olives, yogurt, pine nuts, feta cheese, and grape leaves. When Dana Bowen was invited as a guest judge, he said she knew her food inside and out, and called it intimidating. He was the third person from the blue team to have his dish judged, and presented his seared lamb loin with yogurt and mint sauce. While it was nicely cooked, Bowen felt the plums were mudding the taste, and he lost that round to Cyndi. The blue team lost the challenge 1-3, and they were punished by taking in wine deliveries, cleaning the stemware, cut limes and lemons, and prep both kitchens for that night’s service.
During dinner service, Anthony was on the meat station. After Nedra sent up a salty risotto, he knew that mistake would slow down entrées, and felt Nedra was not adding anything to the blue team. Knowing they needed a leader, he asked Zach to help Nedra out cold appetizers, and then, she got the refire accepted. After Jon served improperly seared scallops that were mushy, it frustrated him as they could not get hot appetizers out at this stage of the competition, before calling it embarrassing. It was that mistake that got the blue team kicked out of service. With both teams kicked out, Ramsay told Jean-Philippe to shut down both kitchens. Both teams were named joint losers, and they were asked to nominate one each. During deliberation, Nedra accused him and Zach of sabotaging her station.
Anthony was not nominated for elimination, even after Nedra once again accused him and Zach of sabotaging her station.[13]
Episode 14/15[]

- Main article: Episode 1115 - 7 Chefs Compete Part 2
Back at the dorms, Jon and Anthony were still downed by the blue team’s poor performance, but when the former thought he was turning more into Frankenstein’s monster than being in a fairy tale, he did not get Jon's logic, before coming to the conclusion that the latter was trying to say that they did not rise up. However, when Jon added more weird comparisons, this time to Atlas, it confused him even more.
The next day, Anthony was the blue team's representative in a touch challenge and went up against Cyndi. While he was apprehensive about sticking his hand into something, he and Cyndi felt the ingredient, eggs, and they both got it right. After, they both got polenta, but he got oysters first, giving the blue team the win at 3-2. However, Ramsay revealed that they won nothing as it was not the real challenge. During the Blind Taste Test, he was the second person from the blue team to compete, and went up against Ja'Nel. Despite being confident on his palate, he failed to correctly guess all four of his ingredients.
The blue team lost the challenge 6-7, and Ramsay deemed Anthony's performance a disaster for being the only chef that scored zero points. They were punished by participating in delivery day and prepping both kitchens for the following night’s service. During the punishment, Zach called his palate a bottom of a shoe, he got flour all over himself to his irritation, and Sous Chef James had the men sweep the flour off the red carpet. On their next order, which was ice, he signed off the invoice, but when Zach announced the freezers were full, Jon asked if they were supposed to have that much ice, and Sous Chef James noticed a large amount of ice bags around the kitchen. Taking another look at the invoice, it was revealed he did not pay close attention to the numbers, and Sous Chef James ordered the blue team to look for the exact numbers. That annoyed Jon as Zach wanted him to go home for skating under the radar, and after putting back the unwanted ice into the truck, Jon complained that they worked three times harder than they should have.
The next day, Anthony felt his position on the blue team was shaky after yesterday, and wanted that day to be the day he worked his ass off. When Ramsay announced an individual challenge with immunity as the prize, he knew he had to perfectly nail his dish as there were only three blue chefs left. During the King of the Hill Challenge, he was the second person to have his dish judged by Ramsay, knew being safe was crucial as his name was high on the list if the blue team lost, and presented his seared ribeye with caramelized carrots. Before tasting his dish, Ramsay recalled his scallop sirloin and how disappointed he was in the dish, but noted he made a lot of progress in the competition. The dish was deemed overcooked and having raw carrots, and he failed to dethrone Ja'Nel, therefore losing the challenge. When it came down to Cyndi and Jon, he wanted her to win as if Jon win, it would only leave the latter with two choices if they lost.[14]
During prep, Anthony was quiet as knew he had a lot riding that night as he had to perform, and called himself extremely focused. While Zach said he was going to think about losing the challenge for a long time, he hoped it was gone by the time service began as the former teared up in the confessionals. When Zach left for a bit, he and Jon tried to do prep without the former's help, much to his frustration as they were doing work for twelve people. Then, Jon accidentally dropped the bermante he was roasting and wondered if he was losing his mind, and then, liquid from that started to burn on the flat top which he took notice of. As Jon tried to put out the smoking, he wondered if the former was trying to sabotage them as he was immuned, and hoped the blue team did not suck that night.
During dinner service, Anthony was on the fish station. At the start of service, he got confused what Ramsay meant when the latter said out in one. When he was caught taking the scallops out one by one, Ramsay told him that out in one meant dumping them out in one swing and compared him to an old granny fiddling in a grocery store. Despite that, his scallops were perfectly cooked. 45 minutes into service, the men were not far behind as Jon tried to communicate with him, but he only cooked one lobster tail despite two being needed. While Jon claimed that he said two risottos, he claimed he heard one instead as the former felt he was hanging from a thread. To make things worse, his lobster tails were now overcooked as Ramsay compared them to bubble gum, and accused him of being the weak link in the chain. As he felt service was slipping through his fingers, he got his third attempt accepted. On entrées, he and Zach communicated on entrées as he knew Jon was not going home that night no matter what and had faith in Zach. However, he sent up his sea bass despite Zach not being ready on meat, which confused the latter. Later, he sent up raw halibut, and after Ramsay showed the men the raw fish, he took him to the pantry room, and berated him for his poor performance before asking what he was doing. He claimed he was trying to fix it, but felt every one of Ramsay’s words like a punch in the tiny room as the latter ordered him to get a grip. After coming back, Anthony called it embarrassing but knew Ramsay was trying to get the best out of him. He had his refire accepted to his relief, but Ramsay was forced to send them to an incomplete table after Zach's Wellington situation. When Ramsay was forced to grab Susan's extra Wellingtons, he was embarrassed that they used the women’s dishes to complete one of their own tickets. After Ramsay took over the meat, he knew the latter hit his limit.
The blue team lost the service, and Jon was named "Best of the Worst". During deliberation, Anthony felt Zach could not sell ice to an Eskimo, before feeling that Jon was smart enough to see bullshit. Later, Jon was struggling with his decision and asked him where his heart was. He felt he was in the kitchen and wanted to be in the chaos with Jon, but the latter felt he switched off several times.
Anthony was named Jon's nominee for elimination and was joined by Zach. During his plea, he felt he has shined, and that being one of the last three chefs standing in the blue team was an accomplishment. When Ramsay asked him how he was different from Zach, he said his heart despite needing a boost of confidence. However, Ramsay told him he could not kickstart his confidence for Caesar’s Place with a brigade of 45 chefs, but he promised he would get the confidence needed. Despite claiming that his tank was nowhere near empty, he was eliminated for his poor performance on fish, an overall decline, and declining confidence, but before leaving, Ramsay told him to keep searching for what his destiny was in the culinary industry. During his exit interview, he called Hell’s Kitchen insane and felt he was the latest victim of the blue team’s curse.
Ramsay's comment: "Anthony hobbled through Hell's Kitchen, and even though his leg eventually got better, his cooking didn't." [15]

- (About grabbing tickets for the Presentation challenge) "It's up to me to lean over, grab whatever I can. Cake. ...now I want cake."
- (About his score) "I got an 82, wow, this sucks!"
- (About Nedra joining the blue team) "Red team, tell me the truth. You wanted to get rid of her, and you couldn't eliminate her, so you did the next best thing and you sent her to us."
- (Saying goodbye to Jon) "Win, Jon."
- (After being eliminated) "Hell's Kitchen is insane. It's like no other kitchen I've ever heard about, worked in, or seen in my entire life. The blue team really couldn't get it together this whole competition. There was a bad cloud hanging over us this whole time, and I am the most recent victim."
